#2024Travel Review #Kuala Lumpur Solo travel diary Record the travel itinerary of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 9/4-7 (4 days and 3 nights) List the cost first 💲Taiwan dollars ✈️Air ticket: 3880 (only 7kg portable) 🏨Accommodation: 1284 💰Exchange (including food, drink, transportation souvenirs): 2000 ☎️e-sim:119 🚌Airport bus in Taiwan: 300+140 Total: NT$7723 Cheaper than I expected! Of course, this is all thanks to the cheap round-trip air tickets from AirAsia, and the accommodation is in a hostel. I highly recommend everyone to stay at my youth hostel - Mingle. There are some small activities held every day for travelers to participate and get to know each other! There are two in Kuala Lumpur. I live in the Highstreet one, which is relatively close to Jamei Masjid MRT station. "Day1" Arrive at KLIA at 6:15. First exchange money at the airport, then take the bus to KL Sentral (Central Station) and then transfer to the red line subway to Masjid Jamek. First, go to the hostel to put your luggage and rest for a while, and then start the non-stop walking trip. ⚠️The airport bus counters are all cashless. The ride to the station is 16 ringgit (about NT$118) and the journey takes 1 hour.

#familytravel There are so many things and so many places to explore in Malaysia expecially in the city centre of Kuala Lumpur but you have only a short trip here, I will recommend some top 5 as per below: 1) Batu cave - Entrance fee: Free - Operating hour: 7 am to 9 pm - Recommended visit duration: 2 hours (recommend to visit in the early morning or evening or you might get a sunburn) - Highlight: Rainbow colour staircase with tallest Hindu God statue in Malaysia and 2nd tallest Murugan statue in the World together with the ancient limestone cave!! 2) Petronas Twin Tower - Entrance fee: RM 35 locals, RM 98 non-Malaysia - Operating hour: 10 am to 6 pm (if you are not going up to the tower, taking photos from outside is amazing too and it is FREE of charge) - Recommended visit duration: half a day at least as there are shopping mall inside and park with water fountain show available. - Highlight: 3) Kwak Chai Hong (In Chinatown) - Entrance fee: Free - Operating hour: 9 am to 12 am - Recommended visit duration: 2-3 hours - Highlight: Murals surrounded to take pictures with and there are a lot of cafes to explore. 4) Central Market - Entrance fee: Free - Operating hour: 10 am to 10 pm - Recommended visit duration: 1-2 hours - Highlight: best place to purchase souvenirs home and it is air-conditioned. 5) Pink Mosque - Entrance fee: Free - Operating hour: 8 am to 5 pm - Recommended visit duration: 2-3 hours - Highlight: One of the 4 pink mosque in the world!! (The location is a bit far from KL which is approximately 30 min by driving but it worths a visit for sure to take stunning pictures)

From ratan handicraft to jewellery made from beads, to fancy bornean pearl and to our childhood snacks. I just can not believe that I did not come here sooner. 🌟 Here are some among many local items/ stores that catched my attention; 1) Batik; For both gender, you will find many shops displaying clothes with modern and classic design of batik. 2) Ratan handicrafts; Such sling bags and basket are available. 3) Groceries store; with mostly sell local food/snacks. I bought some homemade kaya jam with some prepacked herbal tea. Snacks from Borneo can be find here as well such amplang and kuih cincin. 4) Makan (food) hall; plenty of small stores where you can order from. 🌟 My feedback overall; I truly recommend this place to visit not just for international but also local. I was afraid price would be expensive as many tourists visited here but honestly it was reasonable. 🌟 There are also an outdoor stalls. Check them out as well. They are mostly food and jewellery stalls from local brand.

Visited Central Market Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, it is located close to Chinatown in KL city. The design of the mall/market is typical of Malaysia culture. There are also quite some stores are vacant maybe it is still recovering from COVID situation. There are many stores selling malaysia handicraft products as souvenirs and quite interesting to walk through these stores. At level 2, there are some restaurants and a food courts selling all kind of cuisines.

Stumbled upon this unique attractive gift shop - a souvenir shop! There's a lot of local designed cards, 3D greeting popping up cards, postcards, keychains, and stickers that caught my eyes! I was so obsessed with the designs. It was super creative! They even have a postcard mailbox for you to drop off there. Price range: around RM 10-15 for the 3D cards. best experience I’ve ever had in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. I love this city! In Central Market I found a lot of souvenir with a quite a cheap price. The environment was so clean and cozy. There were also a lot of bus to reach this place so I didn’t have to worry about getting here. The sellers were so nice and so helpful. I really hope I can get to visit this city again probably sometime soon in the next year

Highlights: The Central Market is a cultural heritage site in Kuala Lumpur. Although there are less shops now after the Covid but it is still an interesting place to shop and enjoy the air conditioning. The kasturi walk outdoor is closed unfortunately. The lovely wau structures are still there. There were many local artists painting on the spot and selling their original master pieces there. This cutie fish spa is located at the heart of the central market. It costs RM 10 for 10 mins as I remembered. Truly, it was worth the time and money. My grandma literally laughed hard and loud while the fishes is “biting” her feet 😂 Some fish are large but most of them are small 😂 It was a really fun activity for everyone. I recommend this experience for those who will have a time to visit the central market. Like after buying some souvenirs or some clothes, or after makan you can enjoy some of your time here to relax and bond with your loved one. Pasar Seni which translates to Art Market in English is one of the main centre hub for Malaysia's art and culture. The Central Market is a must go place for tourists or for those who loves art since they sell variety of local art ranging from souvenirs as well as handicrafts. Apart from that, there are also vendor who provide batik workshop as well as shops that sells vintage film camera which is very difficult to find nowadays. We went there by public transport where we use LRT and stop at the Pasar Seni LRT Station. I think this Pasar Seni LRT station is very convenient since it is near both the Pasar Seni as well as Petaling Street. From the LRT Station, you can explore various spot including Petaling Street where there's a lot of local shops selling goods such as handbags, glasses, shoes and many more along the way. The price is quite okay but you can still try to ask for discount. You will also pass by various florists selling fresh flowers at a cheaper price compared to other florists outside Pasar Seni. And next to Pasar Seni MRT/LRT station, and free bus via GOKL bus, free to travel to Pavilion Mall, so very convenient to travel via public transport, save a lots of transportation fee.
