I've never been to any Ocean parks before. I've seen pictures and videos of what's inside but I wanted to see them for myself personally. So, I finally went to one and it's at Cebu Ocean park. When you think of Ocean parks, it's a place to enjoy and bond with families and friends. But for my first time going there, I was not with my family, not with friends, but only by myself. I actually enjoyed my time there. I saw different kinds of sea creatures I've never seen before. There was also a bird show where they make the bird show tricks, and a big aquarium where people in scuba gear swam with the animals and feed them. I wasn't able to take solo pictures because I was still too shy to ask people to take my pictures. And the staff there were not allowed to take picture of visitors unless it was their official camera wherein you have to pay for it. But overall, it was just a chill tour for me. A first time experience as a solo traveller. #philippinestrip Compared to Manila Ocean Park its definitely way better! The Amenities are quite new and fresh. What I love here is that it has only 1 direction, meaning you just have to walk straight until the finish line without the need to strain your brain where to go to next. The Bird show is nice, cute and interactive. Animals are exotic and well defined. The sea aquarium- Main attraction was quite packed when we arrived. Lots of people were staying at the corners because of the heat- which brings me to the reason why i scored it a 4/5 The heat- is very unbearable. Ventilation was bad. The moment you reach the air-conditioned area, your sweat would dry up and you would feel unwell. Bring a portable fan!! Crowd- Not that much people, so its not a problem. It is good to experience once, especially with kids

Went to cebu featuring moalboal, oslob, sumilon island and cebu city with their own public transportation and minimal bookings! it was a girls trip with just two of us, and it definitely felt safe traveling around. Though we did invest a bit more on accommodations this time, staying in all hotels. But our average accommodation costs were about $30 per night per head with exception for the 5-star bluewater resort - for a standalone premium suite (fits up to 4 pax), it was SGD $250 for 2 nights WITH breakfast and dinner provided! Used trip.com to book it and definitely was a steal, as we felt like we were in a love island show with stunning views and various activities to enjoy for free within the resort. Cebu city - moalboal and Oslob - moalboal is easy to commute with their public bus (Ceres les AC busses recommended for tourists for speed and comfort) with about 150 - 200 pesos per pax (< SGD $5) and takes about 4 hours for moalboal and 5 hours for oslob. Tricky commute was moalboal to oslob as you need to transfer busses. On google maps, you can find “Jolibee moalboal” or “Bus Journey to Oslob via Bato” for detailed reviews by other visitors! :) Main mode of commutes in the countryside are local tricycle scooters, often referred to as tuk tuk. In cebu city, grab is available. Each trip costs about less than 350 pesos ( ~ SGD $9) and depends on the distance. Roaming Data plans for 4G or even 5G is useless in moalboal and oslob as you can’t even get signal 60% of the time and maximum speed is LTE. However, all resorts are equipped with high speed internets surprisingly. In cebu city, 5G is available. So, cebu is definitely a great place for digital detox. Filipino cuisine is usually bursting with flavours but one place i would definitely recommend is “Smoke Stack” where they sell charcoal grilled bbq meats including lechon, their lechon baka is unlike any other, and definitely a hidden gem! They aren’t a fancy restaurant but they really focused all into the quality of the food. their pork ribs were amazing too. Its easy to commute if you put your grab destination as the shopping complex next to it “citadine cebu city”. 📍Location: Cebu Ocean Park Cebu Ocean Park is a large aquarium that has been long awaited in Cebu. It boasts one of the largest aquariums in the Philippines, and is the first marine life park in the central and southern area, including the Visayas and Mindanao. It is conveniently located across from Cebu's largest shopping mall, SM Seaside, just a 3-minute walk away. Admission is 800 pesos for adults, and free for children under 60 cm tall. There is a cafe in front of the aquarium, and it was great to be able to watch the show up close while eating sweets✨ There is a huge SM Seaside shopping mall opposite the aquarium, so it was an area where you could enjoy shopping and eating before going home🥰

When making a reservation, you can directly choose a minimum of four dishes, because when you arrive at the counter, you will be asked if you want to upgrade to the first row of seats, 500 pesos per seat, which can be used to offset your consumption, so you can add two more dishes when ordering, so that the portion is just right! #cebutrip Great experience. Would have rated 5 stars, but they really need more places to sit. It's a bit difficult to see so much with nowhere to sit. Also, either allow people to bring in drinks, or sell drinks near the entrance. In the heat, having nothing to drink until the end was a bit much, especially without having a place to sit. Lots of things to see. I loved feeding the birds, and watching the divers feeding the fish. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.
