The Chengdu Catholic Church Office is the largest Catholic building in southwest China, with a total construction area of approximately 5,847 square meters. It consists of the main church office and the cathedral, and is characterized by the combined Chinese and Western architectural styles. The building harmoniously combines traditional Chinese architectural elements such as tiles, eaves, and wooden structures with European-style arched windows and dome-shaped roofs.
The entire structure has a unique symbolism with a Chinese-style 悚-shaped layout, and the main material used is Sichuan Province's specialty sandalwood, which is excellent in moisture resistance and ventilation. This building was completed in 1904 and has been well preserved to this day through continuous maintenance and management, and has been designated as a national-level cultural relic protection unit, recognizing its high historical and cultural value.
