The Basilica of Sant'Andrea was built in the first half of the 10th century and is the episcopal church of Amalfi. This church combines various architectural styles. The exterior is mainly dark gray and milky white, and the interior is mostly Baroque. It is magnificent, gorgeous and exquisite. The long steps lead directly to the main entrance of the church, and in the cloister are buried the princes and nobles of the former Amalfi. The most precious thing in the church is the remains of St. Andrew buried in the church crypt, the protector of Amalfi. Today, its remains are only available for viewing at important religious events.

Independent of the world, the beauty of vicissitudes
Beauty lies in the vicissitudes, beauty lies in the humanities. The long-standing cultural heritage has created the beauty of Amalfi town, different from other small towns along the coastline. Compared to the incredibly romantic and artistic Positano I visited yesterday, this central coastal town offers equally beautiful sea views but feels much more ancient and weathered. The landmark 'St. Andrew's Cathedral', with its black and white alternating design, has a long staircase of 62 steps at the entrance, rising as if leading to heaven. Amalfi has been rated by National Geographic as one of the 50 places to visit in a lifetime, a world heritage site.

black and white Amalfi Cathedral It was built in the early 10th century and rebuilt twice. The long steps rise up and lead to the main entrance of the church. The facade is painted with Jesus and 12 disciples. The golden light, the church blends various architectural styles: the two-tone stone building is mostly the Sicilian Arab-Norwegian The Mann style, while the inner pure Baroque style is equally impressive.
