The Archdiocesan Museum of Cebu
The Cathedral Museum of Cebu is a museum in Downtown Cebu City in the Philippines 🇵🇭, reopened in November 2006. It is the ecclesiastical museum of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cebu⛪. It’s situated next to the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral, and not far from the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño.
🌟This place is perfect for those who wants to learn more about Cebuano history and culture. The building is a fine example of the balay nga bato or de cal y canto – a structure of stone and wood. It houses the religious icons and things wore and used by the priests in conducting mass. It is a 2 ⬆️⬇️ storey museum, and has a spacious garden 🌺🌸🌻. The building was one of the few extant structures in downtown Cebu City that was totally spared from the ravages of World War II.
📍The old museum is located just beside Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral along P. Burgos Street and F. Urdaneta Street
🚌🚗It is very accesible: jeepney, taxi, or private vihicle. For jeepney, you can ride 02B it will pass by Cathedral Museum.
💲Entrance fee : 100P for foreigners
🔝🔝I recommend this museum to historic artifact lovers and anyone curious about the Philippine heritage.🇵🇭
