Ginocaster Castle, built in the 12th-13th century in the Kingdom of Epirus, was greatly expanded during the Ottoman occupation in the 14th century, especially during the reign of Bayezid II. Since 1811, many buildings have been added to the castle, such as the bell tower at the east corner of the castle, the fortifications have been strengthened at the cliff, and the water tank has been dug to introduce water. After 1930, it was converted into a prison by the Italian occupying forces, and during the Soviet period, it was used as a prison for political prisoners. The castle terrace is a check-in point for blowing up ins, attracting many tourists to take a look.
