Whether you walk up the mountain or take the elevator (if you don’t want to walk), the journey itself is full of healing. When I got to the top of the mountain, I was amazed by the panoramic view of Nice. To the south is the breathtaking Mediterranean scenery of the Cote d'Azur, which stretches endlessly like a blue carpet; to the north, you can overlook the red roofs and winding streets of the old town, full of the unique style of southern France. Such a view makes people feel that all the fatigue is worth it in an instant. The artificial waterfall in the park is also a highlight. The water cascades down from the rock wall, like a crystal bead curtain under the sunlight, making people can't help but take a few more photos. After arriving in Nice, I spent the day wandering aimlessly 🚶 Here are some of the great spots I found! ① Marche at Place de la Sarja First, I went to Place de la Sarja, a famous market in Nice ⛲️ Here, I was able to buy a variety of things, including not only local produce such as fruits and vegetables, but also art, souvenirs such as soap, and processed products using olive oil! It turns into a flea market only on Mondays, and the items on display change. ② Wandering around the old town The old town of Nice has many narrow alleys, and every one of them is very beautiful. Some streets have cool stone buildings, while others have colorful walls that make them very vibrant alleys. There are also many shops lined up, so it's an area where you can stroll around without getting bored 🚶 ③ Colline du Château I got lost while walking. As I was walking around the old town, I saw a small hill in the distance with a row of trees. That was Colline du Château. The most beautiful place in Nice is Angel Bay, and the best place to admire Angel Bay is Castle Hill. From the top, you can have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of Angel Bay. Of course, Castle Hill itself is also worth a visit. Castle Hill was established as a trading port by the Greeks thousands of years ago, which led to the establishment of Nice. Later, it was occupied by the Roman Empire and a magnificent military fortress was built, hence the name Castle Hill. The waterfall is located in a landscape garden surrounding the 11th century citadel. An artificial waterfall with a garden was created in the first half Nineteenth century on the initiative of Karl Felix of the Savoy. Once you are here you will be able to gaze at the view which covers the city of Nice. Here you will be able to see the old city centre, Hotel Le Negresco and even the airport in the far. On the other side, you will also be able to see the Marina (Port Lympia) with all the yachts lined up waiting to set sail on their next voyage.

At the end of the hike you’ll be rewarded with an amazing view of the city and sea. We’ve noticed also some little tourist train buses which go up. They could also be a viable option if you don’t feel like climbing. We recommend you approach the hill from the North as it has less of a steep climb. The climb from the beach is done through some stairs which can be steep for some. On the way up you will also be able to see some of the ruins from the old citadel although only the foundations. Below the view point you will also see an artificial waterfall. A good spot to take photos for sure
