We stayed one night in Trieste at The Modernist Hotel. The hotel is in a historic building, but the rooms are chic. Trieste is not a big city, so the hotel is conveniently located - we walked only 15 minutes from the train station. It is also less than a 15 minute walk to the cruise pier, where we needed to depart. Several grocery stores, restaurants, and shops are located around the immediate area. #italy #Trieste

#Overseas Travel Antico Caffè San Marco is one of the oldest historic cafés in Trieste, opened in 1914 and has a history of over 100 years. The interior decoration of the cafe retains its old appearance and is very charming, with brass chandeliers hanging from the high ceilings, marble tables and antique furniture, accompanied by the aroma of coffee. I ordered a cup of coffee, and then a Torta sacher full of chocolate aroma. Drinking coffee in this environment, I was really intoxicated by the atmosphere of an old European coffee house! It takes just under two hours by train from Venice to Trieste. It is said to be the unsettled part of Italy, and is located at the easternmost part of Italy. It is a port city facing the Adriatic Sea, but there is also a difference in elevation, so if you climb the hill, you can see a wonderful view. The food is delicious, especially the seafood, but as you would expect from Italy, everything you eat is excellent. I recommend making a reservation before going to the restaurant. It is quite full. The city is not that big, so you can enjoy it enough with one night. It is also recommended for solo travelers.
