#Casa del Mar Langkawi Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jul)
Langkawi Guide: Hotels & Transportation
Welcome to the Langkawi Travel Guide! In this guide, we will explore the enchanting island of Langkawi, known for its pristine beaches, lush rainforests, and captivating culture. Our focus will be on providing you with valuable information about hotels and transportation options, ensuring that your visit to Langkawi is both comfortable and convenient.
✈️ Getting to Langkawi
There are direct flights to Langkawi from both Kuala Lumpur and Penang, as well as ferry from Penang to Langkawi during peak season. It is recommended to travel Langkawi and Penang together: 2-4 days in Langkawi and 2-3 days in Penang.
🏨 Where to stay in Langkawi?
There are three major areas for you to consider: Cenang Beach, Kuah Town, and Tanjung Rhu.
1. If you are here for vacation, we recommend you stay near Cenang Beach: the longest beach, convenient for eating and shopping, and the fireworks show is also here.
2. If you are looking for good food, then we recommend you to stay in Kuah Town: a local town with low spending, lots of food and drinks, and cheap accommodation but there is no beach.
3. If you want a more niche experience, you can stay at Tanjung Rhu Beach: Black Sand Beach is also here, but it is relatively inconvenient.
Recommended Hotels:
Casa del Mar Langkawi (<$300)
The Riyaz Lavanya (<$130)
Goldsands Hotel Langkawi (<$50)

Tranquility By The Sea - Casa Del Mar, Langkawi
The merriest place on Langkawi Island, Pantai Cenang has always been the tourist choice to wind down and enjoy night life. Casa Del Mar is a small boutique resort nestled right by the beach. I can say that this is one of the best properties here that serves luxury in all aspects.
We booked ourselves to a beachfront suite that comes with private entrance and yard. I love the terracotta colour scheme that feels so warm and comforting. Checking in was easy, and they served homemade cold herbal drink and wet towels. So lovely.
The suite itself was very spacious and we found it very cosy for two adults. I came here for my birthday, and the staffs surprised me with cake and juice. Very thoughtful and I felt so welcomed. The bedding was of high quality. We could tell by the feel of the linen, firmness of the bed, and softness of the pillows.
The bathroom came with large bathtub complete with hot water shower. As someone who loves to soak in bathtub, I really commend on this facility they provided. As personal touch, they provided homemade lotion and mosquito body spray. I like the herbaceous smell, especially the scent of lemon grass. Not to forget, a small souvenir prepared by the in-house spa, a pack of potpourri. These small details were actually big in meaning to us, as they felt very personal.
The pool was great, and of course with beach view. There was also a decent size jacuzzi. I spent every evening there while enjoying the sunset. I also love the beach lounge chairs provided right in front of our room. Very useful.
Talking about breakfast, I totally love the spread. Whether it’s local cuisine, to western style menus, they have them all and they’re delicious! Upon checking out, we requested for a transfer service from the receptionist, and they sent us a Toyota Vellfire. What a comfy rude to the airport.
A totally worthy stay, and I will come back!
