The cape of Okinawa

Higashi-Heian Nazaki is a cape in the southeast of Miyako Island. From the peninsula, which stretches for about 2 kilometres, you can see the East China Sea on the left and the Pacific Ocean on the right. The whole is designated as "Higashi Heian Nazaki Park", and the Heian Nazaki Lighthouse is installed at the tip. You can see the endless horizon and the large 360° panorama. The promenade is greeted by seasonal flowers such as Tennoume, Teppou Lili, Gunbai Hilgao and Hosobawadan. In addition, rocks washed up by the 1771 tsunami are above the coral reef, and you can also feel the power of nature that can only be seen here.

#DomesticTravelRecord
To Higashi-Hennazaki, the easternmost cape of Miyakojima.
A 40-minute drive from the city along the coast,
you will arrive at a large park where a lighthouse stands tall.
All you can hear is the wind and the crashing waves.
A 360-degree view of the ocean spreads out before you.
You can observe different topography from the east to the west, north to south, so take a leisurely stroll.
This place has a different look in the morning and at night.
At night, the sky is filled with stars, and there is a high chance of encountering a shooting star.
When I travel to Miyakojima, I visit Higashi-Hennazaki.
It is the end point of the driving course,
and it is not crowded, so
you can look at the sea as much as you like.
I like the great nature of Miyakojima, which seems to change little by little from day to day, even though nothing seems to change.

Perched atop a breathtaking cliff, this lighthouse is not only situated at the southernmost point of Miyakojima but also faces the incredibly clear and pristine sea. Despite the strong winds, the beauty of the sea has earned Higashihennazaki a spot among Japan's top 100 parks and it has been designated as a national scenic spot and natural monument. If you visit Miyakojima, don't miss out on this magnificent scenery!
