Talikud Island is a 1.5-hour boat ride from Davao Port. It's a very primitive island next to Samal Island. I heard that the marine resources are very rich, but unfortunately, I didn't plan to stay on the island in advance, so I couldn't snorkel. There is only one boat at 10 am, and the return trip is at 3 pm, arriving at Davao Port at 4:30 pm. The ticket is PHP 110 + PHP 50 island fee, and the return ticket is PHP 110.

Here, you'll find beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters, and great value travel experiences waiting to be discovered! 🚗 First, from downtown Davao, you can take a taxi to Santa Ana Wharf, which is Sta. Ana Wharf on Google Maps. The whole trip costs less than PHP 100, which is a great deal! However, remember to check Google Maps in advance to make sure the route is correct! 🚢 When you arrive at the wharf, don't rush to board the boat! Because there's a money-saving tip to share with you: Although there are ferries to Samal Island near the wharf, the buses on board don't have air conditioning, which may not be a great experience. So, we recommend you take the Pacific to Talikud Island. This boat is not only comfortable but also very affordable! However, please note that the boat will only depart when it's almost full, so if there are many empty seats, you can wait on the shore for a while! 🌊 On the boat, you can enjoy the cool sea breeze. After a one-and-a-half-hour journey, you'll arrive at Talikud Island! The small port here is called Port of Talikud, which gives a down-to-earth feeling. As soon as you get off the boat, you'll see a small hill, but we suggest you don't climb it! It was so relaxing, not crowded. We were the only guests there. It was like we owned the resort. I highly recommend this resort if you’re planning to visit Samal Island. But you need to bring your own food. But they have a cooking and grilling area and utensils and cookware. You just need to bring food. The market is very accessible as well. It was a 40-50 minute drive from Barge. #affordable #islandlife

Because it is not so famous in the outside world, the tourists are mainly local Filipinos, more on weekends, mainly from around Davao. There are also a few hotels on the island, the accommodation conditions are not as high-end as Boracay and Bohol, and there are not many restaurants, but because of this, it has always maintained its originality and beauty. Transportation: Fly from Manila or Cebu to Davao, then take a boat to the island. If you want to experience Island Garden City of Samal without so much cost plus accessible? It will be the Camp Holiday Resort. Just a barge ride for 15 pesos (0.30 USD), you will arrive at the resort. Entrance fee is 100 pesos plus the environmental fee at 40 pesos, (2.80 USD), you already can enjoy the white sand and the beach plus the amenities the resort can offer. The fee includes the tables, chairs and cottages plus you can bring outside food. They have their restaurant and if you want a room, they also have too. You also don't worry if there's something you miss because just beside the resort is a convenient store.
