Shaoxing Travel Guide | 2 Days and 1 Night, Budget Travel! Not Tiring! (With Tips)
Everyone can choose a weekend to travel to Shaoxing, 2 days and 1 night is enough~
My itinerary is not tiring, and it's budget-friendly, sharing it here for everyone's reference
-
DAY 1️⃣: Xishang Photo Shoot - East Lake - Sage of Calligraphy's Hometown
DAY 2️⃣: Lu Xun's Hometown - Cangqiao Straight Street - Yellow Wine Ancient Town
-
🌟Xishang
Ticket: 0💰. Actually, I chose to go to Shaoxing just to take photos in Xishang. If you want to take good pictures, you can come here, but if you're just looking to enjoy the scenery, there's no need, you might be disappointed. Bamboo raft photo shoot costs 150💰 for about 1h. Xishang is far from the city center, it's convenient to take a taxi or drive yourself, just search for 'Xishang Renjia' to reach the shooting location. I took a rideshare from Shaoxing North to Xishang for 50r.
🌟East Lake
Ticket: Scenic area 50r, Black-awning boat 35r
Route: The black-awning boat has Line A and Line B, almost the same route, just one is round-trip, the other is one-way. If the queue is too long, you can skip the boat! Just walk to the middle of the scenic area and take pictures at the Fairy Peach Cave, it's worth it.
🌟Sage of Calligraphy's Hometown and Cangqiao Straight Street
Ticket: 0💰, you can choose one of these two attractions, the scenery and food inside are almost the same, if you want to take photos, you can go to the Sage of Calligraphy's Hometown, where you can find Wang Xizhi's calligraphy.
🌟 Lu Xun's Hometown
Ticket: 0💰
Remember to book online in advance if you go during holidays or summer vacation, otherwise, you won't be able to get in. I regret that I didn't manage to book even 2 days in advance, so I just wandered around the entrance.
🌟Yellow Wine Ancient Town
Ticket: 0💰, directly accessible by Metro Line 1
A town overlooked by Shaoxing locals, it's great for an evening visit! There's no need to come during the day, but at night there are many performances, and this town is not commercialized, really comfortable and relaxing, away from the hustle and bustle of the city center.
-
🌟Accommodation: I chose a place near the city square, convenient for traveling to various attractions by subway.
🌟Food: You can try stinky tofu, yellow wine popsicles (don't buy if over 5r! I was ripped off in the scenic area and bought one for 10r), yellow wine milk tea; smoked meats and cream small bread are optional. Also, the local delicacy 'Shao San Xian' was a rip-off for me, I ate near the scenic spot, 68r and not authentic, very sad.
