#wheretogo During our visit to Cape Town, we spent a day at the Camps Bay. I am happy to say that Camps Bay Beach does not disappoint! The beach was beautiful and vibrant. We love the white sandy beach with mountain views in the background and the crystal clear ocean. There are sunbeds available for rent if you want to chill on the beach. It was sososo stunning I couldn’t bear to leave and stayed a bit to wave watch. There are many cafes and restaurants lining against the coast of the beach. Do note that there are many street vendors selling their art but luckily they were not pushy. Also, alcohol is not allowed at the beach. Lovely. So how do we get there? Camps Bay is one of the more accessible beaches close to the city—you can park right alongside it (well, if you're lucky to get a spot) and pop over if you just want to feel the sand between your toes for a minute. Another bonus: the long strip of restaurants and bars right across the street. The views are amazing, and you can hop over to grab a quick bite or drink before heading back to the sand. What about equipment—if we're looking for more than a wade, can we rent gear? Bring your own gear, unless you're staying at one of the hotels. That's to say, if we can even wade. Is the water worth a dip? This is Cape Town, where the water is more for looking at than swimming—the temps are pretty icy year round. Okay, how about the sand, in that case?
