Top tips for a great trip to London
Went for a London trip in October and really enjoyed every bit of it. Here are some of my tips:
- Visit the tower bridge/tower of London/Westminster abbey and surrounding landmarks at night for a very nice view and photos of the landmarks.
- Changing of the guard at Buckingham palace: ensure to go there early at around 10am to get a good spot. It gets really crowded and the police will block the roads
- Visit the Natural gallery is a must if you’re an art lover! I loved this museum a lot, there were works from Van Gogh, Claude Monet and many other artists that inspired them, along with several other European artists that I also grew to love as I went around the exhibition. Really good variety of art shown and very clean environment. One of the best art museums visited. You don’t have to book a slot and can walk in.
- Catch a musical! It’s a must, I recommend Les Miserables (classic), Book of Mormon (funny) or phantom of the opera (classic too). Heard Six is good too.
- Blank Street coffee is really good. Especially their white chocolate matcha
- Visit markets is a must! I liked Camden market but there’s others such as Borough market, Old spitafields etc

A stroll on Candem Market - London 🇬🇧
Candem Market and Coven Garden are shopping and entertainment hubs in London's West End.
Both places can be reached by subway. I highly recommend a stroll in these two markets markets. Coven Garden is more oriented to elegant restaurant and fashion stores, while Candem market is more casual, the area is popular with tourists, teenagers and punks. The nightlife scene includes live music in alternative clubs and pubs.
Make sure you are not in a hurry and bring an empty stomach to enjoy a good lunch or dinner.
It is open to the public until 6:00 PM. Coven garden closes later until 8pm.

A Londoner brought me to Camden Market - Here’s what i tried!
Camden Market is a playground for food lovers, where every corner tempts you with bold flavors and irresistible aromas. If you’re chasing the perfect foodie experience, this iconic London hotspot delivers—and then some. On my latest visit, I dove into three must-try dishes that made my taste buds dance: the viral wheel cheese pasta, Greek street food, and sticky toffee pudding.
First stop: the famous wheel cheese pasta. If you’ve seen this on social media, you know the hype is real. Watching the pasta swirl in a giant wheel of Parmigiano-Reggiano is mesmerizing, but the real magic is in the taste. Creamy, cheesy, and perfectly seasoned, it’s comfort food elevated to an art form. It’s impossible not to savor every bite.
Next, I headed to the Greek street food stall for a taste of the Mediterranean. Their souvlaki was the highlight—a warm, pillowy pita stuffed with juicy, marinated meat, fresh veggies, and tangy tzatziki. Each bite was a burst of flavor, balancing smoky, savory, and refreshing notes. It’s a reminder of why Greek street food is always a crowd-pleaser.
To round off my foodie tour, I indulged in a classic British dessert: sticky toffee pudding. This rich, caramel-soaked treat was everything I hoped for—soft, warm, and decadently sweet. Paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it was the perfect ending to a day of culinary exploration.
Camden Market is more than just a shopping destination; it’s a celebration of global cuisine and local creativity. Whether you’re chasing viral dishes or craving something traditional, this foodie paradise never disappoints. Ready to take your taste buds on an adventure? Start with these three incredible dishes—you won’t regret it.

The Sweet Trap: Inside Hansel & Gretel’s Candy House
The candy house is an irresistible lure for the hungry children, set deep within the forest. Made entirely of sweets—gingerbread walls, candy windows, and a roof covered in icing—it’s a dreamlike temptation. However, the candy house is also a sinister trap set by the wicked witch to entice children. While Hansel and Gretel nibble on its sugary exterior, the witch invites them inside with promises of more food, only to reveal her true, dark intentions. The candy house symbolizes deceit and danger, where something seemingly delightful hides a threatening and malicious force.

Loved our day at the markets!
We spent our 1st wedding anniversary exploring the stables and food markets of Camden.
We walked from our hotel on Edgware Road which was simple and easy, only took 45 mins.
The sun was shining and all the food traders were offering samples which was great!

Would definitely recommend visiting Camden Market located in the city of Camden in London. Yes some of the food items are a bit overpriced, but some dishes are definitely worth the wait.
