#solotravel
If you are looking for an affordable restaurant in Old Batavia Area, you must come to Gallery Batavia Restaurant.
This restaurant has a vintage vibes and traditional ornaments inside it. This place also used as a Movie Shooting Place before for Famous Indonesian Movies.
I ordered their rawon (indonesian dishes), dim sum and some coffee. The price are affordable and worth it! nice place for having lunch after exploring Kota Tua/Old Batavia Area.

No one wants to travel to Jakarta, right? Poverty and wealth are separated by a wall.
When I returned to China at the end of the winter vacation, I had no choice but to go to Jakarta because I didn't have a suitable flight ticket.
Most of the inertial comments about this city come from the Internet: a super city with a population of 30 million, terrible traffic, dirty and messy, poverty and wealth are separated by a wall, speeders touch their mobile phones, and there are even stinky original underwear sold in packages... I feel, well, You can come here to practice before going to India.
At the same time, Jakarta is also the fastest sinking city on earth. It will become the contemporary "Atlantis" in 2050. Just because of this name, let's go shopping. To sum up: it is more interesting than imagined, but not much.
.
Picture ①: Kuningan City
The parking lot on the sixth floor above Gate 1 is currently the best auction location in Jakarta, perfectly reflecting the characteristics of this city.
Figure ②: Jakarta History Museum
It is a Dutch heritage building in 1707. Most of the museum's exhibits are from the 17th to 19th centuries. It is not large in area and the content is relatively hard-core. Many students will come to visit. It is very enthusiastic and healed by their smiles.
Picture ③: Kuningan City
Rotary parking lot.
Figure ④: Jakarta Cathedral
Gothic cathedral from 1891, the third largest Catholic church in the world.
Picture ⑤: Istiklal Mosque
I went there on Friday to worship and didn't go inside. The window grilles are all made of stainless steel and are unique.
Picture ⑥: Cafe Batavia
A century-old coffee shop, opposite the history museum, the food is average, you have to go to the toilet, you know.
Picture ⑦: Gaya Spa Wellness Wolter Monginsidi
The horse-killing chicken restaurant most recommended by domestic bloggers can be visited by couples together. It cost about 900rmb for two people, and the technique was good. I was pushed to sleep. After pressing the button, meals will be included on the second floor.
Figure ⑧: Bundaran HI
The bus station has the best seats. There is no subway in Jakarta, so we mainly rely on buses.
Picture ⑨: Pasar Barang Antik
Surabaya Antique Street has a lot of strange things.
Picture ⑩: Giyanti Coffee Roastery
The coffee shop across from the antique street, ranked ninth on the Asian Coffee Top50 list, is the only one in Jakarta. I think the coffee is okay, and I think it tastes better.
Figure ⑪: HW Phoenix Bar PIK
Don’t go to other beaches in Jakarta, it feels like the 1980s. PIK 2 near the airport is not bad. It is known as Little Bali and is relatively trendy. At this phoenix, you can eat, drink, listen to music, and recommend cocktails 🍸.
Picture ⑫: Twelve Chinese Dining Restaurant
The 12 zodiac themed restaurant, the decoration is very flashy, the Chinese food tastes good, Australia comes back to save the Chinese stomach.

Café BATAVIA Historical Dining Experian
#SpecialDinner Café BATAVIA Historical Dining Experian A restaurant in the atmosphere of the Dutch Colonial, an old Dutch colonial building over 400 years ago. Inside the restaurant is divided into 2 floors. It is always crowded with tourists, diplomats and businessmen. You may have to wait in line. The shop is beautifully decorated. This restaurant has a variety of food. Vegetarian, vegan and halal food. There are also Chinese, Indonesian, Asian and European food. There is also a cafe and bakery. There are many pictures of important people around the world on the walls. The shop has live music. The singer has a very good voice. The food may be slow and not available, but it tastes good. #wattosann

Cafe Batavia is beside Fatahillah Square of Jakarta. In classical surroundings, a small stage will have a jazz band perform at specified time. You are not allowed to take professional camera inside. Main dishes include coffee, Indonesian and Netherlandish food and American cuisine. Highly recommend a cup of Indonesian civet coffee, Kopi Luwak.

This restaurant is such a unique place and I think one of the most memorable restaurants I've ever been to in my life.
This restaurant is located in the Kota Tua (Old Town) of Jakarta. Do not be surprised if see more foreigners than Indonesian people here. This restaurant preserved its colonial design and structure since 1837. Enjoy your seating in the classy wooden chairs with your selected local food such as Soto Betawi, Nasi Campur, or their signature Batavia Fried Rice. When you walk through the doors, it's like walking back in time. The building has a rich history that is part of the fabric of Jakarta.
This place is a little bit pricey, but absolutely worth it if you are in the area. Not to be missed when visiting Jakarta.

In the heart of Jakarta's Old Town, there is a web red cafe called Cafe Batavia. In addition to the excellent location facing the old town hall, the interior nostalgic style is also very contemporary.
People are always moved by small things, a kind greeting, a fine gift, a unique food, an unforgettable time...
an idle afternoon, by the window Sitting, ordering an English afternoon tea, watching people in the square sit and walk, ride, and ride freely and comfortably. Is this not the life we yearn for?

Eating inside colonial building at Jakarta!!!
I checked out @cafe_batavia and let me tell you, it's one of the most charming spots in Jakarta. Everyone says it's a must-visit place, and I can see why! The architecture is all classy bistro vibes with a touch of colonial decor, and the rustic interior is so cool with old parlor floors, marble tabletops, and art deco furnishings. It's popular for a reason!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I went there for lunch and decided to try their Soto ayam lemongan. It's this rich chicken broth with vermicelli, cabbage, bean sprouts, boiled egg, and braised chicken served with steamed rice. Let me tell you, that chicken soup was next level. It had this amazing rich taste and was loaded with ingredients. The chicken was super tender too, so good!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To wash it all down, I ordered their Batavia Punch, which was a refreshing mocktail made with pineapple, soursop, lime juice, and honeydew. It was the perfect drink to balance out the flavors of the meal. Loved it! 😍

Cafe Batavia
Interesting building where almost all areas in Jakarta have been modernized, Cafe Batavia stays original - colonial old building.
It’s actually more like an art gallery where you can see many photos of important people in the world.
The food was good and the staffs were very helpful.
Behind the photos are dessert menu so when they gave you one of the hanging photo it is actually the menu.
