One of the main attractions of this small town of Alicante is its vast coastline. An impressive 25 km of coastline where you can swim and practice a variety of water sports. This small town on the Costa Blanca of Alicante shows its most touristic side in the port area. In addition to a wide range of accommodation, restaurant and leisure options, the port also offers a wide range of activities, from water sports such as sailing and windsurfing to boat trips around Denia. El Arenal Beach is one of the most representative beaches on the Javea coastline. It is here that the Parador de Turismo "Costa Blanca" hotel is located, next to the Canal de la Fontana, in a privileged enclave just a few meters from the beach. One of the most beautiful coastlines is between the islands of Portisol and Descubrido. Its transparent waters and excellent seabed make it an ideal place for diving. Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Alicante (Region) While visiting the town, we saw these walls on our way to the beach area. They are part of the city's defensive complex and date back to the 16th century. They are located around the old town, and what we were able to visit were some of the restored city walls and towers, which are still carefully maintained today, some of the city walls have become part of the houses but have been kept as beautiful as possible, while most of them have been demolished and lost. The construction of the city walls took place between 1551 and 1565. Previously the city's defences had been undefended since at least 1525. #JanuaryDestinations2025 #SpainTravel #Valencia
