A luxurious dinner by the sea at Blankenberge Beach

There are many seafood restaurants and cafes along the beach in Blankenberge. For dinner, if you want a restaurant with exquisite craftsmanship and a good atmosphere, we chose "La Cuisine". This restaurant serves Belgian/French-style food. It is a semi-fine dining restaurant that offers both course meals and a la carte menus, and also serves amuse bouche. It is clear that the food looks more detailed and delicate than other restaurants in the same area, but the prices are similar. For this meal, we ordered from the a la carte menu as follows:
➡️ Amuse Bouche
It is beef seasoned with a tomato-based sauce with herbs, served with small pieces of potatoes. It is delicious. The highlight is that it comes with a small glass of drink. It is strawberry juice that is seasoned with garlic, olive oil, and various herbs. It sounds strange, but it goes well together. It is refreshing, but it still feels more like a meal than a dessert. The flavors are mixed very well.

This menu is a classic Belgian dish that can be found everywhere. It is a vegetable salad with large tomatoes stuffed with tiny shrimps, served with creamy salad dressing and cocktail salad dressing. Although it is not a dish that shows off the chef's skills, the fresh, crisp vegetables and fresh tiny shrimps add a refreshing touch to the meal.
➡️ Gegratineerde kabeljauwfilet, spinazie, warme groentjes
Kabeljauw is very popular in Belgium, but most restaurants use the method of baking it until it is cooked. The highlight of this restaurant is the grilling method. The grilling smell is very fragrant. It is delicious from the fish itself. The sauce shows off the skill very well. It is a sauce that mixes peas, spinach, and other stir-fried ingredients together to create a smooth, creamy, well-rounded flavor that is not greasy at all. This dish is the best of the meal.

Sliptongetjes is a sole fish (compared to Thais, it should be a species close to the sole fish) grilled until fragrant and seasoned with herbs. Served with the restaurant's homemade mayonnaise and lemon, the fish meat is very good, soft and juicy, fresh and not fishy. Overall, it's delicious.
➡️ Scampi Curry Ananas
Normally, when ordering a menu with shrimp in Belgium, they usually use frozen shrimp. You have to order from a restaurant in a city by the sea like this to get fresh shrimp. With this menu, you get fresh, bouncy shrimp all over the plate, topped with a thick cream sauce with curry powder. But what's cool is that there's pineapple in the sauce, making the taste a little sweet.
For the side dishes that come with every dish, we ordered homemade mashed potatoes from the restaurant. The texture is smooth and the taste is very good. We also ordered croquettes so that there wouldn't be the same. They were fried until crispy and not oily. It was very enjoyable to eat.
➡️ Chocolate Mousse
This is a dessert menu that is just as delicious as the main dishes. The mousse is soft, the chocolate is rich and fragrant, not too sweet, served with whipped cream and fresh fruits, both strawberries and sour blueberries, adding freshness. Delicious and satisfying.
