Paterno Street, South Drive, Baguio City is located on the higher part of Baguio where you can see overlooking house and even the SM mall. The place is very quiet and relaxing. There, you will find more pine trees and there are also many nice place to sit in to enjoy bon fire and good food. The neighborhood is also interesting. There is no need to go downtown to find good food.

Baguio City. The City of Pines is ultimately one of the best places in the Philippines to relax. One of the places you can hangout is Burnham Park. At its center is where you can find Burnham Park, with gardens and a lake. They also have very good food around. I recommend their shawarma and puto bumbong Baguio. The place is very cold and have so many foods to enjoy and fresh flowers.

Strolling in Burnham Park
A trip to Baguio isn’t complete without strolling in Burnham Park. It’s one of the city’s most famous landmarks. While walking around the park may be the most enjoyable activity, children and adults can also rent go karts and bikes in one side of the park. Paddling and boating at the lagoon is also fun.
On a good day, I suggest that you stay for two or more hours at Burnham Park. There are a lot of cheap street food around the park that you can try. I highly recommend strawberry taho (soy), of course, and some strawberry ice cream. There are some small stalls that sell local delicacies like kakanin (sticky rice). You should try them, too.
It’s free to enter Burnham Park. The bicycles, go karts, and boats are for rent at an affordable rate. #summervacation #urbanexplorer

Burnham Park
Let's have a trip to the Summer Capital of the Philippines, Baguio City. Unlike other towns or provinces, the weather is here is cold because it is on top of the mountain? The famous park which is known to all locals or travellers is the Burnham Park. Dont miss to stop over here. Things to do:
1. You can rent a boat with different designs and go around the lake. You can do by yourself or assist by the local to do for you, depending on the minutes or hours you like.
2. Rent a bicycle for your kids and enjoy going around specific areas.
3. Picnic at park with your family, the weather and the nature park is so refreshing.
4. Taking picture at the garden, or rent a traditional costume for only 20 pesos, and have a remembrance being there.
5. Strolling around the city to other tourist spot nearby.
This is so much fun and worth remembering. Filipinos are friendly so dont worry, you never lost a way, dont hesitate to ask anybody in case you need so.

Baguio City
The Summer Capital of the Philippines. Right, best time to visit is during summer when all of the Philippines is hot while this place is not so hot because it is on top of a mountain. Burnham Park, Wright Park, Mines View are only a few of the places to visit but the place itself is amazing.

A visit to the summer capital of the Philippines won't be complete without a visit to this park, located at the very heart of Baguio City. It's not that big, but it's a good place for a refreshing stroll, early morning or late afternoon exercise, healthy boat ride, picnic with family and friends, etc. There's an artificial lake in its center surrounded by colorful flower beds. This park is a real oasis away from the city's noisy crowd and cars. You will feel safe and undisturbed except for an occasional pan handler finger touching you for attention which you can best ignore as they will somehow buzz flock towards you if you start being generous to one. And that is when you will start to question your feeling secure. So be charitable at the right place and right time. The local panhandlers can smell a bleeding heart from long distances. I just tip generously at end of encounter of after service rendered or goods delivered.

A treasure hunt in the mountains of Baguio.
Tired of the same old beach vacations? Then come to Baguio, a mountain city in northern Luzon, Philippines, for a different travel experience🌄!
Start your Baguio trip by taking a bus from Manila. Along the way, the scenery outside the window gradually changes from the hustle and bustle of the city to the tranquility of the countryside, and then to the rolling mountains, like a flowing painting. After a few hours of driving, you finally arrive in Baguio.
Baguio has a pleasant climate, with an average annual temperature of around 20°C, making it a summer resort compared to the heat of other parts of the Philippines. As soon as you step into the city, the fresh air with the fragrance of pine trees hits you, refreshing your mind.
The first stop is the iconic Burnham Park. It is like the green heart of Baguio, with large lawns like green velvet carpets and lush trees. Rent a small boat and float leisurely on the artificial lake, where the water is crystal clear and you can see fish swimming happily underwater. Around the lake, people are walking and picnicking, and children are playing and laughing on the grass, full of life and vitality.
The Mines View Park is a great place to overlook the panoramic view of Baguio. As you walk along the winding mountain road, the view opens up when you reach the observation deck. The whole city of Baguio is in full view, with colorful houses scattered among the mountains, like a fairy tale town in the sunlight. The distant mountains are undulating, contrasting with the blue sky and white clouds, and you can take a postcard-like picture with your camera.
At night, don't miss the Baguio Night Market. It is brightly lit and bustling with activity. The aroma of various snacks is enticing, from sweet fruit smoothies to delicious kebabs, and your taste buds will be in for a treat. There are also a wide variety of handicrafts, such as exquisite wood carvings and woven items, which make great souvenirs.
Baguio's cuisine is also unique. In addition to the night market snacks, you must try the local specialties, such as "Kare-Kare", a rich peanut sauce with tender beef and vegetables, and "Adobo", chicken or pork marinated in unique spices, which is unforgettable.
While in Baguio, you can also experience the local public transportation - the Jeepney. These colorful and uniquely decorated vehicles shuttle through the streets and alleys of the city, and taking a Jeepney is not only a convenient way to get to the various attractions, but also a way to experience the local life.
This trip to Baguio is a feast for the eyes and taste buds, and a relaxation for the soul. There is no hustle and bustle of the beach, but the tranquility and comfort of a small mountain town. Every corner is full of surprises, and every journey leaves beautiful memories. If you are looking for a different kind of trip, Baguio is definitely worth a visit! 💕

🌆Downtown attractions:
[One] Session Road💒
The main street of Baguio, lined with shops on both sides, perfect for shopping and eating. Cultural events are often held here. I happened to come across an environmental protection campaign, where people were drawing chalk art on the street. It was very cute.
[Two] Baguio Cathedral🕌
A historic pink Catholic cathedral located on a high point in the city, blending in with the blue sky, solemn and romantic.
[Three] Burnham Park🏡
A great place for a picnic, with shady lawns and many families having picnics. You can also go boating on the lake or ride various bikes. It is very relaxing. I have to mention the popular restaurant Canto next to it, where the pork ribs are super delicious and there is often a long queue.
[Four] Baguio Public Market🏪
The best way to get to know a city is to visit the local market. This is a government-renovated market with vegetables and fruits, as well as many handicrafts. Be sure to pick up some. The rattan bags here are very delicate, and I heard that it takes several days to weave a bag.
[Five] Harrison Road Night Market🎑
A super special feature of Baguio, open from 9 pm to 4 am, where you can eat snacks and find Baguio souvenir shirts, fridge magnets, and small bags.
🏙️West side attractions:
[One] Village of Colors🌈
A colorful village inspired by Brazilian artists, beautiful and full of life, perfect for taking photos.

There are many small shops where you can buy jam and fruit wine. Don't forget to try the strawberry ice cream.
🌃East side attractions:
[One] Wright Park🖼️
The park has a horse farm where you can ride a horse around the mountain for 300 pesos per hour.

Walk up the park and you will see the convent. The jam and snacks there are very famous, and locals line up to buy them.
[Three] Mines View Park🏞️
You can take photos with big dogs and horses, or wear local costumes for photos. The observation deck offers beautiful mountain views.

Brrr.. in burnham park
Burnham Park is dubbed as the "Mother of all Parks" named after the American Daniel Burnham who design the park. It is located in the Summer Capital of the Philippines - Baguio City. The park has a man-made lake with rowboats with different designs (example in the photo is a swan-inspired boat). Photographers are around the area offering photography and Ifugao costume for rent or sometimes included in the photography package. If you wanna do some morning biking, no worries, the park has alot of different types of bike for rent. Of note, never forget the strawberry taho. #traveldudes #cityscapes #voyagevibes

People's favorite place in Baguio
Burnham Park is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Baguio City. The two main activities here are boating and biking. People go in the park to have picnics with their family and friends too. We used to do this when we were kids. There are a lot of food stalls in the park, and the park is surrounded with restaurants.
In 2024, I wish I could visit my grandmother in Baguio. I missed her big time.

Christmas market | Baguio, Philippines
#christmas2023
Hello from Baguio City, Philippines! 🇵🇭
Today, I'm taking everyone to explore the Christmas market here. Celebrating Christmas here is truly a grand affair.🎄
The event runs until January, and it takes place at Burnham Park. Inside, you'll find stalls from all over Baguio City selling a wide variety of foods, both savory and sweet, along with plenty of bakeries to satisfy your cravings.
There's also a fun fair zone, more suitable for kids. Especially during weekends, it gets crowded. If you ever have the chance to visit Philippines during this time, take a bus here and join in the Christmas festivities!

I don't think anyone is not familiar with Burnham Park in Baguio. Filipinos alike really want to atleast try the water activity where in we paddle on a swan boat. It gets crowded so come to this place early like start making your way from your hotel at around 6:30 or 7 o'clock. We managed to visit this place twice already and it never gets old, people still love being in this area of Bagiuo. Maybe because there are many activities that this park offer to its visitors like boat paddling, riding a bike, getting a henna tataoo, foot massage, and eating strawberry taho while lying on the green nicely maintained grass and so much more. A little trivia, this place is actually named after it's American architect. Definitely a not miss place while visiting Baguio City since it is also entrance free.

The Heart of Baguio - Burnham Park
One of the most renowned and notable parks in the Philippines is the Burnham Park which is located at the very center of Baguio City. It is just walking distance from many other famous tourist spots in Baguio, like Session Road, Harrison Street night market, SM City Baguio and Baguio Cathedral.
The park has no entrance fee and offers a wide range of activities you can choose from. It is famous though for its man-made lake where you and your friends/family can do some boating activities. There is also a spot where you can rent some bikes, trikes etc. Aside from this, there are a number of gardens and picnic areas within the park.
Food stalls are also situated around the park, and surely you will find a strawberry taho vendor which the city is known for.
Definitely a go-to-place if ever you visited Baguio City.
