Venice citybreak ❤️🗺️
#citydaytours
Venice was a magical experience during my summer vacation! 🇮🇹 The city’s canals, historic architecture, and charming alleys make it a unique destination. We spent our days getting lost in the narrow streets, taking in the stunning views from the Rialto Bridge, and exploring St. Mark’s Basilica. The entrance to St. Mark’s Basilica was free, though the nearby Campanile cost around €8 for an elevator ride to the top for breathtaking views of the city. ⛲🗺️
One of the highlights was a gondola ride through the canals, which was around €80 for a 30-minute ride—a bit pricey but absolutely worth it for the experience. We also enjoyed wandering through the colorful neighborhoods of Burano and Murano, known for their lace and glass-making. 🎨
Venice’s romantic ambiance and rich history make it a destination I’ll never forget.

Burano perfect day trip from Venice
If you’re heading to Venice and have enough time, I recommend you plan a day trip to Burano. However, Burano is quite touristy too so I highly recommend you to go there in the morning so you have enough time to head back to Venice! I was there in the morning and have the whole Burano to myself.
It was so peaceful and beautiful 🤩 with the rainbow colors painted houses-could be the most colorful island in the entire world!
As you may know, public transport in Venice mainly consists of water buses – the so-called vaporettos.
The only water bus that goes to Burano – and Murano as well – is route 12 which departs from Fondamente Nove (Ft. Nove).
This stop is in the northern part of Venice and a 20-minute walk from St. Mark’s Square.
Do take note of the ferry timing so as not to miss and plan well so that you have sufficient time to return back to venice. I had also took the day pass so I could use the water taxis foe the entire day! #italy #2024wish #2024wish #venice #venicedaytrip

Burano the colourful island
Burano is an island in the Lagoon of Venice. It is located to the north of Venice, very near Torcello, and is famous for its lacemaking.
The island with about 4,000 inhabitants has a curious leaning bell tower that is visible from a distance.
Burano has become one of the most visited islands for its colourful houses. Every so often, it's compulsory for the neighbours to paint the façades of their homes and they are not allowed to choose the colour but are notified of the specific shade according to where their residence is located. A legend is told that the houses were painted with bright and cheerful colours so that the sailors could see them on gloomy or foggy days.#burano

Burano - Venice, Italy
Burano is a small & colourful island located in the Venetian Lagoon. The island is famous for its picturesque canals, brightly painted houses & lace-making tradition.
The island’s history dates back to the 6th century when it was settled by people fleeing barbarian invasions on the mainland.
The colourful houses are painted due to a legend saying that the different colours help fisherman find their way home in the fog.
I would highly recommend a half-day trip to Burano, to better understand the culture & history of it. Burano is a short boat ride away from Venice, Italy.

Burano is a small, attractive island in the Venice Lagoon, in the North of Italy. one of the prettiest towns in Italy and its unique canals and its colorful houses that make the island a real rainbow of colors.

Vaporetto (Passenger Ferry) in Venice
In Venice, the main public transport is Vaporetto (Passenger Ferry). There are ferries around the island and on the Canal Grande in Venice. The water taxis and gondolas are relatively much more expensive. I love taking Vaporetto, so relaxing to travel on water buses to see the beautiful small towns, to explore the little alleys of Venice, and budget friendly too. It will stop in Venice and the nearby islands such as Murano, Burano, and the Lido.

Burano, Venice’s Rainbow Island
We took a one-day trip to Burano during our stay in Venice. Burano is well known for its lace sewing, colourful houses, great for photo taking. The island is quiet, peaceful and beautiful. It was so relaxing to walk around. Most houses were decorated nicely by the owners with flowers, plants, and colourful painting. We also had delicious seafood at the pier. The deep-fried squid and beer were awesome. This island is easily accessible from Treporti, about 10 minutes.

Venice (Burano), Italy 🇮🇹
Colorful houses dot this lively fishing island with seafood restaurants, a lace museum & bell tower. Burano is worth visiting for its colourful houses and to see how Venetian lace is made. Burano is quieter than Venice, and most tourists from Venice spend half a day to a day here: a really recommendable visit. Burano is an island in the Lagoon of Venice. It is located to the north of Venice, very near Torcello, and is famous for its lacemaking.

Venice City of Water
DATE : May 6
Bonjorno!
Venice is 'city of water', 'city of bridges', 'floating city' and 'city of masks'.
Well ... did Venice make it on my list of one of my most fav city in the world? Probably not!
But I must say that Venice have its own charm. The city itself is beautiful ... The architecture is amazingly unique and have loads of history.
Yeah ... It is a tourist town ... It is overcrowded, really expensive & constantly under renovation... But if you can look pass that you will enjoy Venice .
The main attraction here is Grand Canal, St. Mark Square, gandolas? and Rialto Bridge to name a few.
But for me the real gems is their outer Island - Lido, Burano, Murano AND wandering around back alleys in Venice, observing antique building & get lost! ... I consider myself quite good with directions but here the buildings looks similar and there's hundreds of bridge ... It's like walking in a maze ... You will get lost ... I mean really2 lost & it was so much fun!! But sooner or later you will know your way plus it's an island ... no matter how lost you are it's not like you can get off of it.
Wandering around you will find hidden treasure of Venice, antique places, watch local live their life and play ... Observing people ,their interaction and you will try to guess another person's story ... I love doing it .. When you travel you will met different people with different walk of life ... People watching is very insightful and informative way to know them. It allows you to observe humanity in all its diversity and similarity.
Anyway ... Some tips in Venice : when you first arrive and looking for your hotel pls prepare a map of your hotel location ... Wandering around in Venice is fun ... But walking clueless for hours with heavy backpack is no fun ... Every shops have a business card ask for it ... usually they got a map on that card ... That's how you know exactly where you are ... Don't eat at table outside a restaurant ... Eat inside or take away ... It's cheaper ... Don't eat at places with 20 different languages on the menu or didn't show a price at all ... You'll end up pay a fortune.
Pagi ini kami bergerak ke destinasi seterusnya : Florence
Ciao!!

The Always Colorful Burano 🇮🇹
Burano is an part of Venice located in Italy. It is famously known for being colorful and vibrant in its appearance.
Located in this city are plenty of older foundations still steeped in culture from the not so distant past.
Often walking around the city one may see many little shops and even friendly locals who will teach you how to do certain crafts and you can also buy gifts.
We really enjoyed particularly taking different photos and exploring the different colored houses and canal alleyways that Burano had to offer.
It is easily one of the most picturesque cities I have ever been to.
Without a doubt, would recommend.

[🇮🇹Burano Island, Venice, Italy, a great restaurant🇮🇹]
Ristorante Pizzeria Principe
Burano Island is a fun island to travel to see colorful buildings!!
It started to gain attention from Korean tourists after appearing in IU's 'One Day' music video :)
I'm introducing a great restaurant I found while touring Burano Island!
Ristorante Pizzeria Principe was a restaurant I happened to see during lunch time while touring, so I decided to go there ㅎㅎ When choosing a restaurant, whether there are a lot of people or not is a standard! When I went, there were a moderate number of people, so I decided to visit.
This restaurant is most famous for its squid ink pasta, seafood pasta, and diavola pizza :) It seems like every table basically orders it, so I ordered it too.
Many people say that Italian pasta is salty, but for me, it was the best pasta I've ever had ㅋㅋ
I was so surprised that I happened to come across the best pasta in my life ㅋㅡㅋ
I thought that Diavola Pizza was tailored to the Korean palate without any resistance!!
Later, I found out that it was a restaurant that was also featured on the TV program Battle Trip :) I think it would be great if you visit Burano Island!!

While it may look cliché especially now in the age of social media, the allure of a place like Burano is something too hard to resist. Separated from the rest of the main Venetian lagoon, this cute village is an hour ferryboat ride away from San Marco’s square, and a must stop for anyone visited the Serenissima.
Don’t be afraid to explore the many alleys, full of silence and out to dry laundry (so typically Italian!). You'll be shocked by how quickly your camera will fill up with photos! Every door, every facade will look like a postcard!
Walk down the colourful canals and pop into one of the many cafes for a cappuccino and a tasty brioche. All while experiencing fewer crowds and noise than Venice.
Before leaving, don’t forget to reserve a table in places like Rivarosa, revering the uniqueness of this small touristy, yet residential neighbourhood. You’ll definitely want to visit again.

Burano Island, also known as the Color Island, is about 7 km from Venice. It is famous for its lace textiles and colorful houses on the island. It is regarded as one of the most colorful places in the world by many international magazines in the world. It is a paradise for color and a breeding ground for artists Baldassarre Galuppi and Remigio Barbaro. Here, the traveler can see the reflection of the colored houses in the surrounding river. It is recommended to watch the sunset on the island in the evening, and the sunset over the houses is beautiful.

In the colorful island of Venice, feel the colorful in the fairy tale
color island in the northeast of Venice, called Burano in Italian.
This island is called the fairy island of Venice, and the houses on the island have been painted in vivid colors.
Color Island stipulates that the residents of the island must brush the house once a year, and the island is therefore more famous: the colored island.
Color Island The color of each adjacent house is different, and the water lane is beautiful. The most attractive today is the small houses on both sides of the street and the canal. This is a small world where colors are pieced together!
Some people say that the buildings here are colored in order to allow fishermen to see their homes in the distance from the sea.
I will meet this red coffee cafe when I arrive at the pier! Ice cream is a signboard.
h is that there are too many tourists here. The residents on the island have been very calmly accepted. The dog and the dog should be cleaned and cleaned.
When you walk on the island for a while, you will find most of the houses, and a pot of flowers or decorations will be placed on the windowsill. Each has its own unique ideas.
The color imprint on the island is not all professional artists, but the masterpieces of the people, and even the house is so artistic.
This is a very famous place for the production of lace, as well as a variety of handicrafts, paintings and clay houses, all very cute.
The masks sold on the colorful islands are gorgeous, and the price of clay-colored houses is about 20 euros.
The island is not big, come to this island is to indulge that romance.
There is a world in the storybook that can play the role of a prince and a princess to satisfy his childhood.

Best sunset caught in Venice!!!
Really beautiful sunset caught when we were taking the waterbus back from Burano to Venice Island itself, caught at around 7pm in early october. Highly recommend buying the multi day water bus pass for the best value (unlimited boat rides) instead of buying by trip. Ensure to visit Burano (colourful houses), Murano (glass making) and Torchello and many other islands.#bestsunset #venice #boattrip #italy

Things to note for your dream trip.
Venice, the dreamy city floating on water, is like a fairyland from a fairy tale, attracting countless travelers.
There are various ways to get to Venice. You can choose to fly to Venice Marco Polo Airport and then take a water bus or water taxi to the city. The water bus is an economical choice that allows you to slowly appreciate the unique charm of this water city during the voyage. The water taxi is more convenient and faster, but the price is relatively high.
When you set foot on Venice, the first thing to note is the local tidal changes. The water level in Venice fluctuates with the tide, and there may be water accumulation during some periods, so it is best to prepare a pair of comfortable waterproof shoes. Secondly, the streets of Venice are narrow and mostly paved with stone slabs. It is very hard to walk with heavy suitcases, so it is recommended to choose light luggage. Furthermore, when dining in a restaurant, pay attention to check the menu price to avoid unreasonable charges.
Walking in the alleys of Venice is like going through a time tunnel. The ancient buildings exude a strong historical atmosphere, the exquisite bridges span the canals, and every scene is like a beautiful picture. Take a gondola through the canals, the boatman gently sways the oars, listening to the melodious singing, feeling the comfort of the breeze, at this moment, time seems to stand still.
Visiting St. Mark's Square is an essential itinerary. The magnificent St. Mark's Cathedral, the towering bell tower, and the group of pigeons on the square constitute an unforgettable picture. Here, you can taste authentic Italian coffee and food and enjoy leisure time.
If you have time, you can also visit the surrounding islands. The Color Island is famous for its colorful houses, and Murano Island is a paradise for glass products. There you can watch the production process of exquisite glass crafts.
Imagine the days in Venice, that will be a time full of poetry and romance. Here, you will be deeply attracted by the unique charm of the city, forgetting the hustle and bustle and troubles of the world. Venice is waiting for you to start a dream trip.

Places to Visit in Italy: Venice
Burano is one of the small islands located next to Venice, famous for its vivid and colorful village. It is also known as the filming location for IU's music video 'Every End of the Day.' To get to Burano Island, you can pay the fare at the Vaporetto stop right in front of Venice Station, and it takes about 50 minutes to reach the island. Since the island is relatively small, it takes about 2 to 3 hours to explore the whole place, so keep that in mind. As it is an island, it is recommended to check the weather before you go. :)

❓ Did you know that Burano, an island in the Venetian Lagoon, is famous for its brightly colored houses?
ℹ️ Legend has it that the fishermen painted their homes in vibrant colors so they could easily find their way back through the fog while out at sea. Today, the tradition is maintained, and residents must get approval from the government before repainting their homes to ensure the island keeps its iconic charm. 🎨🏠

Venice Travel Guide | Personally compiled after staying up late, sharing with everyone
| Personally compiled after staying up late, sharing with everyone. Venice is truly a city full of beautiful scenery, with surprises at every corner! Although there are many tourists, its romance and uniqueness are irreplaceable. Definitely worth experiencing in person!
Must-visit attractions:
St. Mark's Square: The first stop in Venice! The square is huge, with lots of pigeons 🐦, surrounded by magnificent buildings. Visit in the early morning or at dusk when there are fewer people, perfect for taking photos. In the evening, there are live violin performances in the square, creating a wonderful atmosphere!
Grand Canal: Take a water bus along the Grand Canal to fully experience the unique charm of Venice 🚤. I sat at the back of the boat, feeling the breeze, watching the palaces and bridges pass by, super romantic!
Rialto Bridge: One of the oldest bridges in Venice, the view of the canal from the bridge is particularly beautiful 🌉. I stayed on the bridge for a long time, and even casual photos turned out great! There are many small shops nearby with unique souvenirs.
Burano Island: The colorful houses on the island look like a fairy tale world, super cute 🌈! I took a bunch of photos, the colors are very vibrant, showcasing a different kind of beauty in Venice.
Food recommendations:
Seafood pasta: The seafood in Venice is really fresh 🦞! I ordered a squid ink pasta at a restaurant, it looked a bit strange being black but tasted very delicious, full of ocean flavor.
Italian gelato: There are gelato shops everywhere 🍦, and I had it several times. Vanilla and pistachio flavors are highly recommended, perfect for cooling down in hot weather!
Transportation recommendations:
Walking + water bus: Venice is actually not very big, and most attractions can be covered on foot 🚶♂️. When tired, take a water bus for a leisurely tour.
Gondola: Experience a gondola ride, although a bit pricey, it's very romantic at sunset 🌅. The gondolier will explain along the way, offering a different perspective of Venice.
Accommodation recommendations:
Venice Canal Grand Hotel: Stay by the canal, with a water view right outside the window in the morning 🏨. The hotel's restaurant is also great, and you can enjoy breakfast outdoors while feeling the morning of Venice.
Venice Rainbow Hotel: Not far from St. Mark's Square, a small hotel hidden in an alley 🛏️. The rooms are cozy, reasonably priced, perfect for travelers who enjoy a leisurely pace.
Personal tips:
Avoid peak crowds: Venice is very crowded with tourists, so it's advisable to go out early or return to the hotel late ⏰. Venice is much quieter in the early morning and evening, offering a great experience.
Rely on your own navigation: There are many small alleys, and phone navigation is often inaccurate 📍. Getting lost is common, but don't worry, it's part of the fun of exploring Venice!
Photography tips:
Capture water reflections: The water scenery and reflections everywhere in Venice are particularly dreamy in photos 📸. In the morning light and sunset, the whole city turns golden, perfect for photography.

Rainbow Town of Burano in Venice, Italy 🇮🇹🌈
My day trip to Burano, an island in Venice, was a vibrant and colorful escape. Known for its brightly painted houses, Burano felt like stepping into a fairytale. Each building was a different shade, creating a rainbow of colors that reflected beautifully in the surrounding canals. I spent the day strolling through its charming streets, admiring the intricate lacework for which the island is famous. A charming island near Venice
This colorful island makes for a wonderful day trip from Venice. There is also the island of Torcello next door, which too can be combined. However, since i visited Murano as well part of the package. I feel that it can easily be skipped.
This tiny island of colorful houses can actually be walked all across or even seen via a bicycle. Our guide told us an interesting fact, that the reason why the houses were so colorful and differnt. It was so that the returning fisherman could recognise them. I would give it an hour or two and even explore it's canals on the boat. Checkout the lace workshops and boutiques. Some places offer a free demonstation too. It makes for an interesting visit.
