Foo Hing Dim Sum Restaurant] My personal favorite dim sum restaurant, where everything is delicious. This restaurant is so popular with locals that you have to line up even if you go before 1pm, and I waited about 5 minutes. By the way, if you eat at the outdoor seats, you don't need a numbered ticket, so you can sit without lining up. The soy sauce eggplant has a seasoning that Japanese people like. It has a sweet soy sauce flavor like teriyaki, and it's also very filling. The eggplant is soft and the filling is plump! It's delicious. The egg tart has a crispy pie crust on the outside and a smooth inside. It's one of the most delicious egg tarts in Malaysia. The Xiaolongbao is freshly steamed. The soup was piping hot and delicious. The scallop shumai was also full of ingredients. The meat bun was also amazing! It was really big and had a lot of juice, and it overflowed so much that it got your hands dirty while you were eating it. It was a sweet seasoning without any strong flavors, and the pork was soft! It also contained eggs and shiitake mushrooms, so it was very filling! It contained bones and pork skin, so be careful. Also, the staff sometimes came around to your table with freshly made dim sum. If there was something you liked, just point to it and ask them to take it. I was interested in something like fried yam, so I picked it up, and it was a great choice! The crispy batter was stuffed with taro paste and puree, and it had a chewy texture. It was just the right amount of sweet and delicious! It's on the way from the airport to the city center, so I recommend stopping by! [2. Bunn Choon Restaurant] A popular dim sum restaurant in Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur, famous for its egg tarts. There is usually a line. The menu and order form are placed on the counter outside, and you fill them out and hand them to the staff. You will be seated in the order in which you hand over your order form. While waiting for a seat, I also bought sweets such as egg tarts. Both the charcoal egg tart and the original egg tart were delicious, but I really liked the pineapple coconut tart and pineapple stick. The egg tart had a strong egg flavor. All the dim sum was good, but personally I liked the meat buns the best. The sticky rice was also delicious with a seasoning familiar to Japanese people. The male staff member was very kind and willing to take photos for me. The interior and exterior are cute, and I think it's a place that can be recommended to tourists. Above all, it's Instagram-worthy! [3. Fu Er Dail] Penang Island This is a particularly popular restaurant in Penang. If you come at a different time, you can sit without waiting in line. After sitting down, you hand over the order slip (for single items) at the counter, point to the dim sum, and receive your order. The staff cut the dim sum with scissors so that it would be easier to eat. I ordered a few things that caught my eye, but my favorite was the Steamed Bacon Roll! The sauce with Chinese cabbage had a gentle taste, and the bacon used was meaty and good. The Baked Bacon Roll was covered in a sweet and sour sauce that was similar to meatball sauce, and it was delicious and would be popular with children. I also tried shrimp and scallop dumplings, pork dumplings, shrimp dumplings, and other dishes, and they were all great. The egg tart was warm and not too sweet. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was typical of Penang, so I think it's a good restaurant. There is another famous restaurant in Penang, Tai Tong Restaurant, but this one is tastier and I recommend it! I've gotten long, but I can confidently recommend all three of these. Talk about long history, this restaurant has been operating since 1893. Well know for their egg tarts, it's a must try and must order. A silky egg custard with a super buttery flaky crust. Their egg tarts are the best at RM2.90/PC. You can choose to dine in or if you just want to have a few pieces of dim sum as light bites, there's also a take away booth. Many Chinese pastries such as old wife biscuits, kaya puff, deep fried yam puff, etc can be seen and everything looks so mouth watering. I grabbed a box of dim sum and it exceeded expectations. The restaurant has a retro vintage Chinese feel and it's a nice place to dine at. You won't go wrong at restaurant Bunn Choon.
