#falltrip Bunhwangsa Temple, was built in 634. There is a three-tiered pagoda (National Treasure No.30), though it is presumed that it was originally seven or nine stories. Pats of the pagoda collapsed over time, and it was renovated in 1915. During the renovation, a stone reliquary was discovered with coins used in Song China. This suggests that it was also renovated at the beginning of the 12th century. Shells from Taiwan and Okinawa were also found on site, showing the reach of the Silla kingdom. The pagoda used to be hollow but now it is filled with the collapsed remains of the other floors.

Another photo zone you can see when you go to Gyeongju in April! This is a spot I found by chance while going to see double cherry blossoms! There weren't many people so I was able to take pictures leisurely! 📍 Bunhwangsa Green Barley Field Bunhwangsa is a charming place with canola flowers in spring and poppies and green barley fields in summer. I visited around mid-May, and the green barley field was growing. The wide expanse of green is a healing sight for the eyes. If you visit on a good day, you can take refreshing photos full of summer vibes. There are no bus stops nearby, so I recommend taking a taxi or a ride-hailing service. The parking lot is right in front and is quite spacious, so you don't have to worry about parking.

#SummerTravel A real-time Gyeongju where a flower paradise unfolds from lotus flowers to sunflowers, crape myrtle trees, and zinnias! Among them, the area around Bunhwangsa Temple in Gyeongju is now filled with zinnias in full bloom, covered in yellow, pink, and red. On the way out of Bomun Complex, I saw zinnias in full bloom, made a quick U-turn, and came back to see zinnias I never expected. Although it's just one tree, the crape myrtle trees are in full bloom, and there are zinnias that are just starting to bloom, so it looks like it'll be so pretty for a while! Bunhwangsa Temple.-Bunhwangsa Temple Stone Pagoda Address: Bunhwang-ro 94-11, Gyeongju. Free admission and parking. Opening hours: Summer season, 9:00~18:00. Winter season, 9:00~17:00. The oldest remaining stone pagoda. Founded during the reign of Queen Seondeok. It is said that it originally had 9 or 7 floors, but this is not certain, and only 3 floors remain. There are fields of cosmos and zinnias in front and behind Bunhwangsa Temple, so take a look around the stone pagoda and take pictures with the pretty flowers.

Bunhwangsa Temple in South Korea is truly interesting. This old temple with unique statues around it tells a buddhist influence in South Korea during the ancient times.
