A song can lead you to a city~ Xijin Ferry, Yuntai Mountain, and Yuntai Pavilion
The song "Xijin Ferry ~ As the Lights Come On" tells the story of the ancient street's long history and the trials and tribulations it has endured. As the lyrics say, some things will never be forgotten.
"On Yuntai Mountain, I walk with you through the dappled shadows of the long corridor
After the hustle and bustle, some things will never be forgotten"
The Xijin Ferry Historical and Cultural District is located south of Yuntai Mountain. The ancient street is built along the terrain of Yuntai Mountain, extending from west to east along the northern foot of the mountain. Yuntai Mountain has an elevation of about 67 meters and has historically been an important transportation hub between the north and south of the Yangtze River. The ancient street rose to prominence due to the ferry crossing and still retains its layout nestled against the mountain and facing the river.

🔔Itinerary
👉From the Waiting Pavilion on Xijin Ferry Street, follow the steps up to the Yuntai Pavilion at the top of the mountain. The steps are narrow and steep, and you cannot go up after 4:30 pm or in rainy or snowy weather.
👉As you walk up, look back at the ancient street of Xijin Ferry, and the view gradually opens up. The archways are built layer by layer along the mountain, and the layers of black tiles on the street undulate like waves, revealing the full view of the ancient street.
👉At the top of the mountain, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Yangtze River or enter the Yuntai Pavilion for a closer look.
👉After visiting Yuntai Pavilion, find another path down the mountain towards the west gate. This path leads to Boxian Park, which you can visit along the way.

The highest point is the Yuntai Pavilion, a replica of an ancient building located on the north peak of Yuntai Mountain. The architectural style has characteristics of Song and Yuan Dynasty architecture. Yuntai Pavilion is a complex of pavilions, halls, and verandas, forming a dynamic and varied architectural group. Inside the pavilion is the "Zhenjiang City Development Theme Museum," which showcases the 3,000-year history of Zhenjiang. This is an excellent place to enjoy panoramic views.
