🇯🇵 Stay at one of the three major hot springs in Japan - Gero Onsen Bochuankan
Gero, located south of Hida Takayama and in the center of Gifu Prefecture, is rich in natural resources, and Gero Onsen is one of the three most famous hot springs in Japan. Because of its location, there are many activities to do in Gero, such as visiting the Gassho Village in Gero Onsen, exploring the forest, or visiting waterfalls, so it is recommended that everyone stay in Gero for a night. This time we chose to stay at the Wangchuan Hotel.
📍 190-1 Yunoshima, Gero City, Gifu Prefecture
🚈 Take the JR Takayama Main Line, about 1 hour and 40 minutes and 60 minutes from Nagoya or Gifu
🏘 There are 9 different rooms to choose from, and the most expensive one can enjoy a private open-air hot spring bath in the room
♨️ The water quality of Gero Onsen is weakly alkaline and is called "Beauty Hot Spring". It has the effects of restoring fatigue, relieving rheumatism, recovering from illness and beauty. The hotel has separate bathing areas for men and women, and private bathhouses can also be rented. There is also a foot bath in the garden where you can soak your feet while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Hida mountains.
🍱 Japanese food is provided, and you can enjoy Hida beef for an extra fee
"Bochuankan" is not a highly rated hotel, but there are many things to do in Gero City, such as strolling around Gero Onsen Street and taking a free foot bath; visiting "Kaeru Shrine (Frog Shrine)"; or visiting Gero's Konaga Village, so you don't have to spend too much on the hotel, and the hotel's open-air hot spring is also very comfortable, and the food is also good. It can be said to be a hotel with a very high cost performance.
