The route offers beautiful sea and mountain views, plus it's easy to walk. Only 2 km. away, with fresh air all the way. You won't be disappointed here... Bitoujiao Highlights - This trail is free of charge. The route is a circle, with two ways to go up and down. We walked up to the port side. There's a photo spot by the sea here. We recommend eating and using the restroom on this side first. On the way down, we got off at the school side, which will take you to the bus stop at the destination. - Travel: On the way there, we took the train from Taipei Main Station to Ruifang Station, then took a taxi, which is convenient and saves time, making us arrive faster. The day we went, the weather was nice and cool, so we could walk around in a relaxed manner. On the way back, we can take bus number 856 or 886 back to Ruifang Station to continue our trip. - For this trip, we planned to spend half a morning here, to experience nature, see the sea view with the mountains, and take pictures while soaking up the atmosphere. It's really great. If you have plans to visit Taiwan, try saving this place on your list. It's another place that both of us really like. The starting point of the trail is the Bitou Cape Lighthouse, which was built in 1917 and is one of the oldest lighthouses in Taiwan. The scenery around the lighthouse is open and the view is broad, overlooking the majestic Pacific Ocean.

Take the train from Taipei to Ruifang Station, then take a bus for another 40 minutes to reach the entrance to the mountain. Leave your comfort zone and open up a new world here. Lovely travel companions, all Taiwanese people here are friendly. Once you go, you will love it.

The Bitoujiao trail is about 3.5 kilometers long. The way up starts from Bitoujiao Primary School. It is a beautiful starting point with a view of the sea and mountains surrounding the school. You should allow 2-3 hours to walk up and back down. In the evening, on a clear day, you can watch the sunset from above. Bitoujiao is one of the most beautiful places to watch the sunset. There are shady trees on both sides of the road, and the destination is a lighthouse. In October, the grass starts to turn golden and beautiful. You can take a tourist car or bus to Beitou Cape or drive here. Come climb the mountain ridge, see the shadow of the clouds, and see the view of the sea and the golden grass at Bitoujiao. Ting Tao Cafe is located on the trail of Bitou Cape. If you want to have a leisurely coffee and enjoy the sea view, You have to climb the mountain road for 30 minutes. There is no lane to drive on this side. You can't get there by car, motorcycle or bicycle, you can only walk! Parking spaces are hard to come by on holidays here, and there are only a few parking spaces at the entrance of the trail. During the holidays, you can only look for parking spaces in the parking lot of Bitoujiao Park or in Bitoujiao Fish Harbor. But it's "very hard to find", so go out early on holidays, otherwise come back on weekdays.
