#2024wish I had visited Perak Musuem on the weekend, it was truly an amazing experience. This musuem is the oldest musuem in Malaysia, situated in Jalan Taming Sari, 34000 Taiping, Perak. Perak Musuem is a treasure trove of the history, its highlights the history of the state, featuring historical and archaeological gems with even remains of animals and artefacts. Perak Museum has 4 galleries and outdoor exhibitions: 1. Gallery A - Taxidermy and Archaeological Exhibition Gallery 2. Gallery B - Nature Gallery 3. Gallery C - Cultural Exhibition Gallery 4. Gallery D - Aboriginal and Pottery Gallery 5. Outdoor Exhibition The musuem is open daily from 9am - 5pm, admission fee is RM2 only. We started off on a train ride to get a sense of the layout and subsequently walked to see some animals up close. We went during the day where most animals would be sleeping. Would not mind going back again for the Night Safari option. The Zoo keeper that drive the train was friendly and explaining the animals and their background story through out the 30 minutes round trip in the zoo.The animals had a lot of space and were in their natural environment. Overall, I highly recommend Taiping Zoo to anyone looking for a fun and educational day out with their family. For the price paid, I think its a very good time to spend with family here. Only downside were some areas were closed. Also suggestion to have events throughout the day such as feeding spectacle or something more engaging with visitors. Animals looked like were taken good care of. If you are in Taiping this is the place you would want to visit, located at Maxwell hill surely this is the wettest place in Malaysia. Although rated as 3 star hotel the feature of this hotel is outstanding. Rating as per below : (this is my personal preference only others may not) Room rating (3/5) The room comes with bath tub (standard size) the cleanliness of the bath tub is quite so-so, so dont expect much. Bed is nice and comfortable with extra pillow also you can hangout at the outside where there is a balcony Public Pool rating (4/5) Pool was big and the water is clean, there is a section for children and toddler area. The deep of the pool is just nice for grown ups Food rating (2/5) Hotel restaurant could adds in much more variety to the breakfast menu, but the price buffet for breakfast is cheap so you get what you paid off Facilities (4/5) Other than walking distance to the maxwell hill there is also an adventure park right next to the hotel

Its providing a peaceful environment ideal for relaxation.
