[Bangkok, Thailand] 3 recommended places to buy souvenirs!
#TravelTricks
Here are three highly recommended souvenir shopping spots in Bangkok, Thailand!
1. Big C Ratchadamri Branch (Photos 2-4)
A classic among classics! This large supermarket has everything you need.
As a supermarket, it has a wide selection of snacks and food, but it also carries accessories and miscellaneous goods.
In the same building, you'll find Naraya, a famous Thai brand selling pouches and bags, a food court serving local cuisine, and even a Thai McDonald's. ☝️
Address: 97/11 Ratchadamri Rd, Lumphini, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330
Directions: A few minutes' walk via the skywalk from BTS Siam Station or Chit Lom Station.
Hours: Daily 9:00 AM - 12:00 AM
⚠️It's always pretty crowded, but it's especially lively and crowded on weekends, so be careful if you're traveling with small children!
⚠️This area is always very congested, so we strongly recommend taking the train instead of a taxi if possible!
If you absolutely must take a taxi, allow yourself plenty of time, and avoid weekdays between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM, as traffic is particularly bad. 🚙
2. MBK Center (Photos 5-8)
A huge shopping center! They sell a wide variety of clothes, bags, miscellaneous goods, accessories, mobile phones, and computer-related items.
If you're looking for miscellaneous goods or clothing-related souvenirs, you can't go wrong here.
It has a typical Southeast Asian market feel, with no basic prices posted and you can ask and negotiate on the spot. The initial price is usually high, so it's a good idea to try negotiating a few times, but don't be too pushy, as it will leave a bad impression. ☺️☺️
Address: 444 Phaya Thai Rd, Wang Mai, Subdistrict, Bangkok 10330
Directions: Right in front of the BTS National Stadium
Hours: Daily 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM
There's also a Don Don Donkey (Don Quijote) inside, so it's interesting to see the differences between it and Japan. ☺️
3. Sarapad Thai (One Bangkok Shopping Mall, 3rd Floor) (Photos 9-11)
A souvenir shop located in a shopping mall that just opened in October 2024.
They have a wide selection of food, clothing, and miscellaneous goods, but I especially recommend buying the general merchandise here!
Also, there are plenty of photogenic spots inside this store, and throughout the mall, so you can enjoy it for more than just souvenir shopping!
Address: Witthayu Rd, Lumphini, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330
Directions: Direct from MRT Lumphini Station
Hours: Daily 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM
