Natural scenery
Located next to the small town of Bicheno on the east coast of Tasmania, the Bicheno Blowhole in Australia is one of the four natural wonders of the Tasman Peninsula. Its formation is due to the long-term erosion of the waves on the brown-red granite on the coast. The seawater erodes a narrow tunnel inside the reef. When the tide surges, the seawater gushes out from the circular hole under pressure, forming a spectacular water column more than ten meters high. The water mist is scattered on the surface of the reef with the wind, showing a dynamic and static blend of "waves hitting the shore" and "water mist". The intensity of the eruption is directly related to the tide and wind. The water column is particularly shocking during strong winds and waves. The unique reddish-brown reefs are distributed around the blowhole, which contrasts sharply with the azure blue water. Some areas have an orange-red hue similar to the Bay of Fire due to oxidation. Visitors can observe the water spraying process up close along the reef trail, but they need to pay attention to the slippery surface and tidal changes to ensure a safe distance.
