He was not only an excellent doctor but also a great internationalist, embodying the true essence of a shared future for humanity through his actions. Dr. Norman Bethune is a great figure who is well-known to everyone in China. How can you not make a pilgrimage to him when you come to Toronto? He used his superb medical skills to do his best to save the Chinese people. In the end, he was infected while treating the wounded and died in the war-torn Eastern country to which he devoted the last part of his life - the suffering China.
