A nice hotel choice near the airport with spacious rooms. The rooms are comfortable with more amenities than other hotels around the same grade. Though the rooms and the bathroom are a bit dated, it is nonetheless fine. The gym is a bit on the small side though, but has enough basic equipment. The real highlight is the plentiful and fresh choices at breakfast. You're in for a real feast! Finally the wifi is very strong and good. The airport is located on the island of Amager, 8 kilometres (5 miles) south of Copenhagen city centre, and 24 km (15 mi) west of Malmö city centre, which is connected to Copenhagen via the Øresund Bridge. The airport covers an area of 11.8 km2 (4.6 sq mi). Most of the airport is situated in the municipality of Tårnby, with a small portion in the city of Dragør. The airport is the main hub out of three used by Scandinavian Airlines and is also an operating base for Sunclass Airlines and Norwegian Air Shuttle. Copenhagen Airport handles around 60 scheduled airlines, and has a maximum operation capability of 83 operations/hour, and a total of 108 jet bridges and remote parking stands. Unlike other Scandinavian airports, most of the airport's passengers are international. In 2015, 6.1% of passengers travelled to and from other Danish airports, 83.5% to/from other European airports, and 10.4% were intercontinental passengers. The airport is owned by Københavns Lufthavne, which also operates Roskilde Airport. The airport employs 1,700 people (not including employees in shops, restaurants, etc.). Copenhagen Airport was originally called Kastrup Airport, since it is located in the small town of Kastrup, now a part of the Tårnby municipality. The formal name of the airport is still Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup, to distinguish it from Roskilde Airport, whose formal name is Copenhagen Airport, Roskilde.

#Entry-related information Information as of September 2024. I arrived from Beijing Capital International Airport using Air China!. Japanese people do not need a visa, so you can enter the country with just a passport. The immigration officer was a woman who was very friendly and easy to talk to. By the way, she asked me questions in English. She asked me two questions: "Where is the hotel?" and "What are you here for?" I was planning to go to Germany on an overnight bus that night, so when I showed her my ticket, she said, "OK! You can go now." By the way, Copenhagen International Airport has signs in Japanese.

#favouriteairline One of my most memorable flights was with Ethiopian Airlines, flying from Copenhagen to Vienna on a Boeing 777-200LR. It was a late-night flight, and stepping onto the plane felt like a journey to another continent. The spacious cabin had a 3-3-3 seating arrangement, but with so few passengers, it felt almost private. I even got a whole row to myself! The flight had a special charm. The cheerful flight attendants, dressed in traditional uniforms, brought a touch of Africa onboard. Their smiles and warm hospitality made the trip unforgettable. Even though the flight was short, we were served refreshments—delicious sandwiches and drinks. Some passengers even received African beer, adding an exotic twist to the experience. Looking out the window, I enjoyed the nighttime views of Europe from 30,000 feet. A unique aspect of this flight was that we needed to show our passports, even within Schengen, since the plane continued to Addis Ababa. For travelers, I recommend Ethiopian Airlines for its exceptional service and cultural vibe. Pack your passport, even for a short intra-European hop, and be ready for a truly special experience!

My most memorable trip from Sofia to Manchester so we were delayed for over 2 hours leaving Sofia so it was going to be obvious we were missing our connecting flight at Copenhagen!!! My husband was not to well so convinced him to be using airport assistance as he was not so keen but eventually thanked me as that saved us not missing the connection due to us being ferried quicker across the tarmac also the Gods were on our side the flight going to Manchester was running about half an hour late🙈🤣😂😍 #mytravelhacks

#seasidevibes Wonderful seaside in Copenhagen! Such a beautiful seaside stunning scenery just by Copenhagen Airport Kastrup. There is a relatively new hotel, called Scandic and their view from a room is stunning during day with blue sky and sea with big window from a room! There is few restaurants and cafes around and it’s so close from the Airport you can actually walk there, it takes only 15mins! No matter how many times you come to Copenhagen it’s such a lovely relaxing place to visit especially during summer time! City has very international style with people from various background and you hear English everywhere so it’s quite convenient to communicate even though you don’t speak Danish. Wonderful city to visit even if you only have few days to stay, you can fully enjoy amazing beauty of nature that will make you relaxed from everyday busy life!

#celebratewithtrip As a frequent flyer with Star Alliance I have access to the lounge when ever I fly with an Star Alliance Airline . This trip is from Copenhagen to Bangkok on Thai Airways. The SAS lounge might not be comparable to most lounge in Asia but in Europe standard it consider good . Before enter this lounge I enter the Carlsberg Aviator Lounge ( With Priority Pass) so I can do a comparison of this two lounge and of cos The SAS lounge stand out with more food choice and drinks .seating area also very big with 2 storey . the timing I fly is consider peak hour and the lounge still have plenty of seat whereas the other lounge I need to share a table with a stranger . So if you have access to both lounge, SAS lounge is your choice .
