The food was amazing. The fresh scallops tasted like they were just caught, and the pavlova, resembling the Opera House, was a delightful touch. The waiters were all friendly and professional. With the lights of the city framed by the sweeping arches of the Sydney Opera House, Bennelong possesses unquestionably the best dining room in the city. The pavlova was served with passionfruit sauce, with wafer thin opera house "shells" decorating it. I felt so bad smashing them. Beautiful setting at the iconic Sydney Opera house. Entree and dessert was exceptional, the main wasn’t quite to the same standard. Went there for my birthday lunch. The food was delicious and beautifully plated. Service was impeccable, made the lunch that much better. The presentation was elegant and mostly minimalistic, with the exception of whimsical pavlova constructed in the shape of the Opera House.
