Beijing Xishan National Forest Park: A Journey of Natural Beauty and Spirituality!
Beijing Xishan National Forest Park is a place full of natural charm and tranquility, where every visit feels like a spiritual journey.
As you enter the park, you're immediately surrounded by lush greenery. Tall trees reach for the sky, like loyal guardians of the land. Sunlight filters through the leaves, creating golden beams that drape the forest in a mysterious veil.
Walking along the winding paths, the ground is covered with fallen leaves and pebbles, each step a reminder of nature's simplicity. Wildflowers sway gently in the breeze, releasing a faint fragrance. Butterflies dance among the flowers, and bees buzz busily, creating a vibrant scene.
As you venture deeper into the park, the sound of flowing water greets you. Following the sound, a crystal-clear stream comes into view. The water flows joyfully, splashing against rocks and creating white waves. Crouching down to touch the water, the cool sensation spreads through your body, cleansing your soul.
Reaching the mountaintop, the view opens up. Distant mountains stretch endlessly, blending with the blue sky and white clouds. Looking down, the park's beauty unfolds: green forests, winding paths, and clear streams form a picturesque landscape. Here, you can breathe in fresh air and feel the greatness and wonder of nature.
Beijing Xishan National Forest Park is not just a natural wonder but a place for relaxation and nourishment. Here, we can escape the city's hustle and bustle, return to nature, and find inner peace. It's a haven for weary souls and a bridge to nature. Every visit is a reflection on life and a pursuit of beauty.

Red Leaf Viewing on October 26 | Xishan Forest Park | Less crowded, suitable for young children.
🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁
🚗 Navigation: Xishan National Forest Park East Gate (parking available)
If taking the subway, we recommend entering from the South Gate. No parking is available, but it is less crowded (you can park a few cars on the curb).
⛰️ The trail is 1,800 meters long and takes about 1.5 hours to climb. You can take a break at the highest point, Guixiao Stone, and enjoy some delicious blueberry sugar-coated haws 🤤
On a clear day, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city.
🗺️ The map is on the last page. Just follow the trail.
The red leaves are beautiful on the way down from Guixiao Stone to the East Gate.

Hiking at Beijing Xishan National Forest Park.
Enter Xishan National Forest Park, turn left, and visit Lion's Nest, the Qing Dynasty cliff inscriptions, the ancient tea shed, the old locust tree, and the Pudu Bridge cliff inscriptions. Finally, walk along an ancient incense road to Nianfo Bridge, and carefully examine the bridge's base. I saw almost everything I wanted to see.
I have two regrets: I didn't find Fuhui Temple, although I was very close. However, I did see the reddest maple leaves on the way to Fuhui Temple. I also didn't find the words "Nianfo" at Nianfo Bridge, although the sign next to the bridge says "The words 'Nianfo' are inscribed on the stone next to the bridge."
Next time, I'll try to walk from Xishan National Forest Park to Badachu.

Beijing Xishan Forest Park | Enter the green fairyland and feel the beauty of tranquility!
🌿"The cicadas chirp in the forest, the birds sing in the mountains, and the mountains are even more secluded."
🌿Stepping into Xishan Forest Park is like stepping into a landscape painting. The mountains rise and fall, like the backbone of the earth; the trees are shaded, like the waves of the green ocean, and the fresh air instantly calms the mind.

🚗Self-driving: Navigate to the East Gate, parking lot 8r per hour
🌟🌟🌟Misty Secret Realm
【Huaxi】A few hundred meters after entering the gate, no matter which route you choose, it will start from here.
The wooden plank road corridor and small waterfall are very photogenic, with plenty of fog and few people.
🔴Route 1️⃣: Red - Hiking Trail
Mainly stairs, East Gate---Huaxi---Half Mountain Pavilion---Red Leaf Ridge---Ghost Laughing Stone, the shortest route, but also the most difficult, suitable for people with good physical strength who want to hike and exercise. The most difficult part is the road from Half Mountain Pavilion to Ghost Laughing Stone, all stairs, with some steep sections.
🟢Route 2️⃣: Green - Forest Trail
Moderate difficulty, East Gate---Huaxi---Forest Grand Stage---Nature Observation Trail---Happy Forest, suitable for families with children. There is a children's entertainment area near the Forest Grand Stage, and you can also observe various plants. You can also go from the Nature Observation Trail---Ghost Laughing Stone, this part is also stairs, overlapping with the red route.
🔵Route 3️⃣: Blue - Fitness Trail
Relatively easy, East Gate---Purple Bauhinia Garden---Plum Garden---Double Locust---Red Leaf Grand Canyon---Ghost Laughing Stone, no stairs throughout, open-air road, suitable for families with children and strollers. The disadvantage is that there is no unique scenery on the road.
🟡Route 4️⃣: Night Photography - Drive directly to Ghost Laughing Stone
Drive directly to the back mountain, locate and search for 【Ghost Laughing Stone Parking Lot Barbecue】, there are several parking lots opened by villagers, 🅿️20 per car unlimited time, from here it takes 20-30 minutes to climb to Ghost Laughing Stone, no stairs.
🌟🌟🌟Recommended Loop
🌸For those with good physical strength and climbing experience, it is recommended to go up the green mountain and down the red mountain. I feel that going down the stairs is not so tiring; however, going down the stairs can hurt your knees, so you can also go up the red mountain and down the green mountain, about 10 kilometers, the whole journey takes 4-5 hours.
🌸For a relaxed parent-child trip, you can go green to the Nature Observation Trail and back, experience nature, the whole journey takes 2-3 hours.
🌸If you want to take your child climbing, you can choose to go up the green mountain and down the blue mountain. There are no stairs going down, which is easier, the whole journey takes 4-5 hours.
🚗How to get there:
Public transportation: Take bus 318, 360, or 505 to Nanhetan Station and walk to the park.

On a whim, if you don't want to go too far, then go to Xishan Forest Park, with forest trails and streams, and direct bus access! Super friendly for the elderly and children~

👉 Recommended route for climbing: less stairs, time-saving, and less strenuous
East Gate ➡️ Gate area waterfall ➡️ Flower Stream ➡️ Forest Grand Stage ➡️ Nature Observation Path ➡️ Ghost Laughing Stone
The final section to Ghost Laughing Stone is all stair trails, which are quite strenuous, so prepare 2-3 bottles of water. There is a supply station on the platform layer of Ghost Laughing Stone, with ice water available, priced at 5-6r

Spring brings fortune, and the capital becomes a place to enjoy the blossoms
Located on the bustling edge of Beijing's city center, Haidian District's Baiwangshan Forest Park attracts countless families with its unique charm of being close to nature. Not only is it a stone's throw from the urban area, but it's also a place where you can often encounter leisurely squirrels, bringing endless fun to the children. Xishan National Forest Park, as a zero-difficulty barrier-free recreational destination, is even equipped with facilities designed for strollers, allowing every family to roam freely and easily.
Fragrant Hills Park is a paradise for parent-child activities, with some little-known parent-child activities hidden on its homepage. While playing, children may also encounter those cute squirrels, creating a harmonious scene.
Shijingshan District's Badachu Park, with its toboggan as the main attraction, offers visitors a different kind of fun. The peach blossom forest in the Lao Shan City Leisure Park is a paradise for hikers, just 10 minutes away. The blooming peach blossom forest seems like a gift from spring, intoxicating visitors.
Although the Jietai Temple Countryside Park is simple and easy to navigate, the presence of a large slide adds more fun to the visit. The ancient Jingxi Trail is suitable for a driving exploration, where you can feed lambs along the way and experience the pastoral life.
The trails of Nangang Village and Wangping Village, connecting the Nangang Village Committee, are filled with the tranquility of the countryside with every step. The Fengcun trail winds and twists like a green ribbon through the lush woods, while the serenity of Baolin Temple offers a moment of peace amidst the hustle and bustle.
In Huairou District, the Water Great Wall is complemented by mountain flowers and the ancient Great Wall, forming a magnificent picture. The Zhuangdaokou Great Wall witnesses the vicissitudes of history, while the Yaotaiyu Ancient Castle tells the stories of the years. The peaceful rural life of Shangwangyu Village is undoubtedly a journey back to nature.
Each place has its unique charm, whether it's city parks or rural paths, all are telling the story of Beijing's diversity and the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature in their own ways.

Hiking in Winter!
Hiking along the fantastic rock peaks while appreciating the serene vibes of Xishan National Forest Park. Coming here was unplanned, so I was in my heels, but that didn't stop us from discovering and exploring the scenic beauty of this park. They said trees lose their colors in winter, which is kinda melancholic, but for me, naked trees adorned with the snow. The dazzling ice snow in the lake made the place more pristine.
Beijing Xishan National Park is located in Xiaoxi Mountain, near Haidian District of Beijing. Passport is very important when exploring Beijing, so always bring your passport with you.

Xishan, Beijing, is a branch of Taihang Mountain. It was called the first of Taihang Mountain and is also known as Xiaoqingliang Mountain. Like a smashing sigh, the city is far from the West. Therefore, the ancients called it "the right arm of the gods."
Beijing is surrounded by mountains and the sunset to Xishan can be said to be chasing the pace of the setting sun. Drive by the mountains between the Xishan Mountains. In the clear weather, the layers of clouds are layered in the sun in the sun and the golden edges are set. The mountain is transformed from gray to silhouette. Even the trunks without leaves in winter have a taste in the setting sun. The small stream that dried up in the winter, quietly reflected the splendour of the sunset, and suddenly thought that it was in the sky.
When watching the sunset in Xishan, it is a special event and a particularly beautiful memory.
