The Beijing Olympic Tower, once known as the "Tree of Life", is located at No. 15 Beichen East Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing. It is the sixth tallest tower in China and is called the "Big Nail" by netizens. It covers an area of about 7,000 square meters. Construction began in 2011 and it was officially opened to the public on August 8, 2015. The Beijing Olympic Tower includes a tower base hall and five independent tower crowns. The tower body is composed of five independent towers ranging from 186 meters to 246.8 meters high. It is a sightseeing tower composed of five independent towers with a total construction area of 18,687 square meters. Among them, the tower crown area is 5,257 square meters and the tower base area is 13,430 square meters. The tower base hall is a covered earth building, which is naturally connected to the ground through a green slope. There are five independent viewing platforms and function halls on the top of the tower crown. On November 6, 2017, the Beijing Olympic Tower was awarded the 2016 Luban Award. On April 12, 2019, the Beijing Olympic Tower won the 16th China Civil Engineering Zhan Tianyou Award.
