Ooh la la! Was mesmerized by the beautiful designs of Manxinfu Courtyard Hotel in Beijing the moment we stepped in. The receptionist brought us to explore the hotel and explained about the history. It was built 400 years ago and was residence of high officers during the olden days. There are monuments in the courtyard and also inside the hotel which was gifted to reputable officers in the olden days and must be preserved according to the current regulations. The courtyard residence was renovated into hotel few decades ago. Currently it is shared by 2 hotels as the land rental is too expensive. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Warm water bottle was given whenever we visited the lobby and it was such a warm gesture during winter. Kudos to them! Room is of decent size and comes with smart system. Breakfast is great too with selections of bread, yoghurt, local delicacies such as dumplings, pau, cold dishes and freshly cooked Zha Jiang Mian. Hotel is near to Guloudajie metro station which is very convenient to travel around. Restaurants are available within walking distance. One of them is the famous Man Jie dumplings.
