Dawangjing Park is located in Dawangjing Science and Technology Business Innovation Zone, Chaoyang District, Beijing, with Beixiaohe in the north and Jingshun Road in the southeast. Legend has it that when Emperor Qianlong passed by this place, he looked back at Dongzhimen and gave it the name Wangjing. The predecessor of the park was Dawangjing Village, a famous urban village in Beijing, which was later converted into a park. The park covers a total area of 33.4 hectares and mainly includes scenic spots such as Wangjingtai, Ancient Tree Square, Ruyi Lake, Qingxi Waterway, Tree-shaded Square, and Health Trail. Wangjingtai is located on the 8-meter-high main mountain in the park. It is said that the place where Qianlong rested when he named it "Wangjing" was about here. In the ancient tree square is an ancient locust tree with a history of 400 years. Although it has experienced vicissitudes, it is determined to be vigorous and tall. Standing on Wangjing Terrace and looking into the distance, you can see Ruyi Lake. The lake is full of lotus flowers and purple celandine, and the scenery is beautiful. In the winding Qingxi waterway, huge granite rough stones pass through the stream, and aquatic plants such as water onions, reeds, aquatic irises, celandine and other aquatic plants grow densely in the stream. The tree-lined square is a large-scale tree array composed of more than 100 Chinese locust trees with lush branches and leaves. In summer, delphinium, false dragon head, yarrow, sedum, daylily and other flowers bloom for tourists to enjoy. The health trail is made of black pebbles, with a total length of 260 meters. Visitors walk on it barefoot, which can achieve the effect of a foot massage.
