Historic buildings
The Battersea Power Station was closed in 1983, but it may be one of the most famous coal-fired power stations in the world. Its single structure consists of two buildings built twenty years apart, but using the same design, providing the station's famous four chimney layout. Though it remains relatively unused since closure and it is a popular tourist attraction, it's fame comes more from the Battersea's public profile in films and television. It was used in such varied films as "The Dark Knight", Hitchcock's "Sabotage" and Monty Python's "The Meaning of Life." It's also been featured in the British's long-running "Dr. Who" many times.
