Part of the worship ceremonial include scripture on concrete, coding which I can't read but there's description on it; the goddess of sun, and messages to their gods. It's preserved and manage well, still in very good condition although writing is a bit off, and some parts are missing. At least there's sample to relate with. Guided tour or audio is better than walking around and read information because it's not so detailed, but to rent audio guide we need to pay. If you like history then maybe it's worth. The whole town of Roman Bath is called Acquae Sulis including part of temple. This is artifects/remaining that come from.part of temple. Some symbolic or Goddess and sculture represent sacred meaning. It was quite interesting and big place to discover. While seeing the information which is not so detailed, it made me think. What would the worship ceremonial be like? Who can enter the place and have right to do so? Rich of history which is not something I like, but I love the detail from each artifects. Address - Sally Lunn's 4 N Parade, Passage, Bath BA1 1NX, United Kingdom The famous tea time served here where it's signature is bun and cake. This place is the oldest house bakery around Bath. It is unique in texture, between bread and cake but too sweet for me although there's a review saying it's not suppose to be very sweet. Guess sweetness is also subjective depending on person tastebud. I pair it up with english breakfast to balance and neutralize the sweetness. Perfect tea time while we were on break before exploring further. The first time I heard the name Bath was as one of the stops in some local tour groups. I remember when I was watching the local tour group about Stonehenge, I saw that many local tour groups put Bath and Stonehenge together. Then I looked at the comments of those people after experiencing the trip. Most people thought Bath was a beautiful place, but it was a pity that if you join a tour group, you won’t have enough time in Bath! So I decided to move Bath from a side dish to the main dish😂😂 Most people would probably want to go to Bath (I did too at first 🤣) but Bath is actually the only city in the UK that is listed as a World Heritage Site. It is full of ancient Roman characteristics and is known as "Little Rome". It is a place worth spending a day to slowly explore! Baku Introduction: Baku (Bath) is also known as Bath. Although the name Bath is more commonly used, I think the pronunciation of Baku is closer to Bath, so I will use the name Baku from now on. Baku is an ancient city with a long history and is known as the "cleanest city" in the UK. More than 2,000 years ago during the Roman rule, the Romans discovered that this place had a beautiful environment and natural hot springs, so they named it Bath, which means "bathhouse." Baku is most famous for its ancient Roman baths. This ancient city is not large in area, suitable for a half-day tour or a day-long slow tour. Transport from London to Baku: Baku is located 156 kilometers west of London and it takes about 1.5 to 3 hours to get there from London. Train: Take the train from Paddington Station to Bath Spa Station, the journey takes about 1.5 hours. Bus: Take the 403 National Express from Victoria Station to Baku, the journey takes about 3 hours. I was lucky enough to have a friend who drove there, but it still takes more than 2 hours to drive there! After arriving in Baku, you basically don't need to take public transportation, as most attractions can be reached on foot. Baku Attractions: 1. Baku Roman Baths Address: Stall St, Bath BA1 1LZ The Baku Roman Baths are the most famous and must-see attraction in Baku. If you haven’t visited the Roman Baths, it means you haven’t been to Baku! More than two thousand years ago, this place was a popular resort for nobles to relax and enjoy. How luxurious it was to visit the Roman Baths! The modern us only costs about £17.5 (peak season price) to get in, and the voice guide is free! As soon as you enter, you can see the large public bath. This is also a must-photograph spot, just like the Post Card! You can take photos from a high place to get the same feeling as the Post Card, but if you want to take photos of the large bathing area, it is recommended to go downstairs! Leading to the lower level is an indoor exhibition hall, which not only displays artifacts from the ancient Roman period but also plays related videos. When you get to the middle of the walk, you will find an activity room where you can try on ancient Roman costumes and transform yourself into an ancient Roman! This thing that looks a bit like the mouth of the true God is called Gorgon, which can be translated as snake-haired banshee, and also has the meaning of scary. It is often placed on doors, walls, shields, chest guards and tombstones to ward off evil spirits. Minerva’s Head is a very rare gilded bronze statue and one of the most important finds in Baku. There is also a model next to it for tourists to touch. Although the Roman Baths are now only open for visitors and not for use, the hot water in the hot springs is still in use! I boarded a small boat, drifting leisurely on the lake, with a gentle breeze blowing. Watching the beautiful scenery on the shore slowly recede, the feeling of relaxation was truly comfortable💕. After bidding farewell to the lake district, I headed to Glasgow to experience its unique urban charm🤗. ✨Day 8: Glasgow - Edinburgh - Newcastle Edinburgh was charming😍. Edinburgh Castle stood tall on the hilltop, overlooking the entire city, as if guarding it. Standing on the castle, looking into the distance, the city's scenery was breathtaking👏. The Royal Mile was bustling, with various specialty shops on both sides. Exploring them was quite interesting, allowing me to experience both the historical charm and modern vitality🥰. The beautiful old church near Roman bath which is called Bath Abbey. It's parisan church under the church of England. Long history of Christianity, like in between catholicism and christianity. It's not the main point though! I admire the building more than finding out its history because I'm not someone who like history, but I love arts and artitechture. This church design is very old english style which capture my eyes from a far. There was also a homeless man sitting outside feeding the birds.
