Yan'an Baota District Shijing.
Yan'an is a familiar place name, and I have always wanted to visit it. Driving on the road to Yan'an, the mountains and fields are clear and quiet, and the climate is pleasant in mid-autumn. Occasionally, I saw a memorial archway on the side of the road and stopped to browse. The memorial archway looks very new, with four pillars and three doors, all stone structure, with stone lions on both sides, and dragons and flowers carved on the memorial archway. The plaque reads "Maojia Ancient Village", and the couplet is profound, "Blessings are thicker because of the earth, and virtue is boundless with the earth". Behind the memorial archway is a mountain ridge shaped like a fish's back, called Wanhua Fruit Mountain, and there is a small temple on the top of the mountain. Standing on the top of the mountain and looking around, the green mountains and green waters, cave dwellings and terraces show the beauty of ordinary, natural and harmonious. This place belongs to Wanhua Mountain Town, Baota District, Yan'an City, about 10 kilometers southwest of Yan'an City.
After arriving in Yan'an, the inherent imaginary scene in my mind suddenly disappeared. Today's Yan'an is a modern city with high-rise buildings, streets and cars, and bustling shopping malls. At night, the city is brightly lit, Baota Mountain is full of red light, setting off the bright pagoda, and the Yanhe River reflects the lights on the shore, flickering. The food street is full of fragrance, the merchants are enthusiastic about attracting customers, and the diners are feasting, lively and lively.

A Local Tour: From Baota Mountain to Qingliang Mountain in Yan’an
#localtourguides Starting at the iconic Baota Mountain, I was immediately struck by the grandeur of the towering pagoda standing proudly atop the hill. This symbol of Yan’an offers a panoramic view of the city, its winding streets and historic sites spread out below. The pagoda itself, with its ancient bricks and stories carved into its walls, stands as a testament to the city’s rich revolutionary history. Walking along the trails, surrounded by pine trees and the whisper of the wind, I felt a deep connection to the past.
Descending from Baota Mountain, I made my way to Qingliang Mountain, a place known for its serene beauty and historical significance. As I walked through the lush greenery, I passed by former revolutionary sites and old caves once used by the Communist Party leaders during the war years. The tranquil atmosphere, with birds singing and a cool breeze blowing, contrasted with the intense history that these grounds witnessed. Standing on the peak of Qingliang Mountain, looking back at Baota Mountain in the distance, I could sense the spirit of perseverance and resilience that has defined Yan’an for generations. It was more than just a journey between two mountains; it was a walk through history, culture, and the enduring spirit of this remarkable city.
