Baolin Temple
Baolin Temple is a Buddhist temple that inherits the Dharma lineage and belongs to the Linji school. The original Shunde Baolin Temple is located in Daliang Sub-district, Shunde District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. The birth of Baolin Temple has established its status in the history of Buddhism in Lingnan.
The original Shunde Baolin Temple is located outside the south gate of Daliang Town in Shunde, at the southern foot of Fengshan Mountain, which winds like a phoenix. The trees are lush and towering, creating a verdant and steep landscape. Nestled against the mountain and near the water, the scenery is serene. Baolin Temple is famous throughout the ages for being a Buddhist temple that also houses cultural relics and historical sites, making it a cultural treasure with rich historical and cultural connotations.

Taiping Ruiqi--a mysterious ancient temple that has stood for a thousand years
The Baolin Temple is named after the 'Pure Land Seven Treasures Forest' (at that time, there was a grove of towering ancient trees within the hermitage, resembling the legendary forest in the Western Paradise adorned with seven kinds of treasures, as mentioned in the Amitabha Sutra: gold, silver, lapis lazuli, coral, amber, tridacna, and agate). The spot is quite niche and can be described as off the beaten path, making it a rare temple attraction.
