Located near the Wulingyuan Forest Park in Zhangjiajie, 'BaoFeng Lake' is a scenic spot around Wulingyuan. It's not very famous, but the scenery is beautiful, with mountains and water, and it's definitely a rare paradise on earth. To tour BaoFeng Lake, you need to first take a sightseeing bus to the mountainside, and then take a wooden boat for a tour. #dreamvoyage Going on the Bao Feng Hu lake cruise was a wonderful experience! The cruise took us on a relaxing journey along a beautiful lake called Bao Feng. The scenery was breathtaking, with towering mountains and lush greenery all around. I enjoyed listening to a local singers who came out of their boat just to sing for us.

Getting to Baofeng Lake is very quick and easy from Zhangjiajie village. We took a 5 minute Didi there and walked back (about a 30 walk) which was pretty nice along the river. The attraction itself is OK. Baofeng lake is a manmade lake but has some nice views and the 20ish boat ride is pretty enjoyable. We came here since we wanted a short little trip on our rest day after a few intense hiking days at Zhangjiajie. It takes about an hour in total but there is an additional 2km hiking trail there that we didn't try. There are people selling hats and some fruit there but no restaurants directly nearby (at least when we were there). We managed to walk to a restaurant about 10 minutes away. We have an 8 month old and brought the baby carrier since there are a lot of steps. Overall, I wouldn't have gone if we didn't have a nothing day but if you're looking for something quick to do, it might be something to consider. It's a bit expensive for what you get but there is some nice scenery. #baofeng #daytrip
