The Banyan Tree Doha – A stunning urban resort that breaks the mold of the traditional Banyan Tree style!
After staying at the Banyan Tree Doha, I was completely amazed by its rich colors and unique, avant-garde design! This is truly a beautiful urban resort that breaks away from the traditional Banyan Tree style! I stayed in an Urban Suite, where the living room, bedroom, and bathroom all faced West Bay, offering a very nice view!
Next to the Banyan Tree Doha is the circular building of Doha Oasis, connected to the high-rise buildings of the Banyan Tree by two glass sky bridges – at the center of the circle is Qatar's largest indoor theme park, Quest, with the lower two floors beneath the outer ring housing the Printemps Paris department store, and the upper floors consisting of apartments. It's a very creative architectural design – The Banyan Tree Doha is the first Banyan Tree hotel in the Middle East, meticulously designed by the famous interior designer Jacques Garcia, symbolizing the four elements of life: earth, water, fire, and air, which are the foundational concepts of the hotel's design. The Tree of Life in the hotel lobby is the first focal point for all guests entering the hotel – The place also boasts a large green garden, planted with hundreds of tree species from around the world.
The Banyan Tree Doha not only plants banyan trees in its garden but also abstractly interprets the strong and graceful trunk and roots of the banyan tree with black walnut wood in the high-altitude indoor bar Vertigo, designed by master designer Jacques Garcia. The overall architectural aesthetics of the hotel blend modern comfort with traditional serenity and simplicity, creating a tranquil haven for guests to rejuvenate their body and mind – Of course, you can't miss out on a SPA session at the Banyan Tree – especially a top-tier spa center like the one at Banyan Tree Doha! The Banyan Tree Doha not only plants banyan trees in its garden but also integrates the overall architectural aesthetics of the hotel with modern comfort and traditional serenity and simplicity.
Finally, I must give a special recommendation for the Saffron Thai restaurant at the Banyan Tree Doha. Staying at a Thai hotel brand, you must try the classic Thai cuisine – Tom Yum Goong soup, seafood salad, various curries, and mango sticky rice are all flavors not to be missed, and the Thai restaurant on the 24th floor offers an unbeatable view!
