Ban Rak Thai.
This place is really beautiful and fantastic. It's a Chinese village in the northern part of Thailand. Everything is so cool and peaceful. The people are also friendly.
A very beautiful place, it's cool in the mountains at night. The whole village looks like a set from a Chinese drama.
A place with amazing views. The most beautiful village in Thailand. To see the view of the whole village, go to the shops above. It's worth the long trip to get here.
Here you can buy very good tea.
It's quite difficult to access by public transport. Several kilometers of snake-like roads, don't eat lunch before you travel.
A beautiful little village in the mountains with a lot of Chinese culture. Various kinds of tea. Restaurants with great views of the lake that serve good food. Going out on a boat for morning tea was really cool.
A beautiful Chinese village located in the northern part of Thailand with various Instagrammable spots. P.S. Don't forget to book in advance if you want to take a boat ride. Also, book your hotel in advance during peak season. It's an hour's drive from Mae Hong Son.

Ban Rak Thai
A somewhat interesting village . It is remote and getting there takes a while on a windy road. There are many shops selling Chinese goods and food items.
This place is definitely worth a detour. I'm really amazed that they managed to turn such a small pond/lake into a tourist attraction and build so many resorts there. It's possible to walk all the way round the pond/lake in a couple of hours. The best time on the lake is definitely as the sun rises and the mists form above it.

The most beautiful village in Thailand
Leewine resort in Ban Rak Thai village, Mae Hong Son province Thailand 🇹🇭
Cottage type guesthouses – made from mud and influenced by Chinese culture, located right at the middle of hill-side tea plantations.
Ban Rak Thai has a beautiful landscape of lush green tea plantations on the slope of hills.
Take a walk around the tea garden on the hills surrounding the village and learn about growing and processing tea products.
A tranquil getaway — the sleeping village is one of the best places to spend a day doing nothing. Absolutely nothing

Amazing Route around Chiang Mai!
This route was done in 1 day! However, it gets really tiring especially with the mountainous ride.
Take a sip of tea and a bowl of hot soup noodles in Pang Mahba, dangling your feet off the air! The food was really good too.
Supposedly if you are travelling in a group, it would be great to break the itinerary into a few days, stay overnight in Ban Rak Thai, beautiful Yunan village at the border of Myanmar/China!

Oriental Gem in a hidden Thailand valley
The city name "Ban Rak Thai" is directly translated to "I love Thailand" which was hidden in a valley of Mae Hon Son province in Thailand. The city is well hidden in lush green bamboo and vegetables farm. It's recommended to access via motorbike or car if you have good skills to make it through narrow and steep corners. It's about an hour away from the capital city of Mae Hon Son.

Enjoy Yunnan-style Chinese breakfast at Lee Wine Rak Thai
When talking about Rak Thai Village, everyone probably thinks of Yunnan Chinese culture. Another thing that is indispensable is having breakfast, which consists of mantou and fried noodles, which are local foods of Rak Thai Village. For those staying at Lee Wine Rak Thai, you can have breakfast at the restaurant until 10:00 a.m. The highlight here is having breakfast while viewing the beautiful reservoir. In the morning, you can see the fog on the water surface. #Ban Rak Thai #Mae Hong Son

Traditional Scenic Thai Chinese Village
Mae Hong Son is located up north of changi mai where there is a little village called Ban Rak Thai located right at the border of Myanmar(Burma).
Getting here alone is almost impossible and I do recommend going by tour normally a small day tour group picking you up at Mae Hong Son Town. This town is a quiet peaceful town surrounding the Khuean Nai Mok Reservior, making this a very beautiful photoshot backdrop for many! And normally people come this town for 2 things, the view and the many tea tasting plantation.
Not many people are aware of such beauty in Thailand, so maybe step out of your comfort zone and travel somewhere out of the norm for once. Oh P.S, I finally also able to get to use my drone without any restrictions. Muahhahaah!!

⛩️The highlight here is the boat ride on the lake. The most popular times are in the morning and evening. Rak Thai Village in Mae Hong Son Province
I traveled alone, taking a train and then a van from Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son, navigating through 4,088 curves. After that, I rented a motorbike to reach Rak Thai Village. I arrived in the evening, packed my bags, and went to bed to fight the freezing weather.
Woke up early to sip coffee, breathe in the fresh air, watch boats on the river, and spend the year-end reflecting on the past year.
And I realized that 'Having money = Happiness' 😂😂😂

With the nature Ban Rak Thai
#thailandtrip
Ban Rak Thai (literally "the Thai-loving village"), also known as Mae Aw in many guide books and some maps, is a city near Mae Hong Son (44 km). It was settled by former Kuomintang (KMT) (Nationalist) fighters from Yunnan province, China, after the Communist takeover of China in 1949.
It is tucked away near the border of Myanmar, this charming village is a unique blend of cultural richness and natural beauty.
Renowned for its serene lake, verdant tea plantations, and traditional Yunnanese influences, Ban Rak Thai transports visitors to a world where time seems to slow down.
Ban Rak Thai is a stunningly beautiful village in Mae Hong Son Province, right next to the Myanmar border. This is one of several Yunnanese enclave towns.
Full with nature and specific environments with greenish make the village perfect and peaceful.

Ban Rak Thai
Ban Rak Thai, located in Mok Cham Pae Subdistrict, Mueang District, Mae Hong Son Province, is not far from Pang Ung. It is a village of Yunnan Chinese people. Almost all the buildings in the village are in Chinese style. The overall atmosphere still maintains its original state, except for the area around the lake where there are more accommodations. From my latest visit, several new accommodations are being constructed to cater to tourists. However, the charm of Ban Rak Thai lies in its preservation of the unique Chinese community identity, including the food (they don't use fish sauce there, they use salt instead, which is quite interesting).

Steeped in History and Tea: My Enchanting Visit to Ban Rak Thai
#thailandtrip
In the lush highlands of Northern Thailand, I discovered the hidden gem of Ban Rak Thai. This charming village, nestled in Mae Hong Son province, captivated me with its breathtaking views, rolling tea plantations, and rich history. Founded by former Kuo Min Tang soldiers from China, the village still retains its Chinese heritage, evident in its architecture, signage, and the local dialect. As I wandered through the village, I felt like I'd stumbled upon a forgotten era. The peaceful atmosphere, stunning scenery, and warm hospitality made my visit truly unforgettable. If you're seeking an off-the-beaten-path experience, Ban Rak Thai is a must-visit destination.

The village is set in a valley surrounded by hills and tea plantations on the edge of a reservoir with cool and fresh air all year round. Immersed in a distinguished culture in Thai
#2024wish i have been in Thailand more than 10 times but this is my first time to the North West of Thailand to discover & enjoy a very different culture than a typical Thai one. Find peace & relaxation here. Day and night views are completely different so highly recommend a stay over. Wake up early in the morning to enjoy a foggy and smoky lake view like in a heaven

Ban Rak Thai ❤️
We have planned this trip for a long time. We rented a car and drove ourselves in Chiang Mai. We passed through many mountains and made more than 1,800 turns before we arrived. We also stopped at many tourist attractions on the way to let ourselves rest. It was the first time my wife and I came to Ban Rak Thai. The weather here is really good, and the scenery and houses are also very beautiful. After getting up in the morning, the scenery of the boats on the lake is really beautiful, but it is a pity that we only stayed one night. Because I’m going to PAI tomorrow. I really like it here. There are many people of Yunnan descent living here, so many people can speak Chinese. I definitely plan to come back again next time I get the chance. Love you Ban Rak Thai

My recent visit to Bann Rak Thai village was a sensory delight. The cold and comfortable weather enveloped the village, creating a serene ambiance. The panoramic views were nothing short of stunning, with lush landscapes that extended as far as the eye could see. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the captivating tea plantation—a sea of vibrant greenery that added to the picturesque setting. Bann Rak Thai is a perfect blend of natural beauty and tranquility, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a peaceful retreat. The cool weather, coupled with breathtaking scenery, makes this village a hidden gem worth exploring.
I will be definitely coming back here again in 2024!
