Ballarat Wildlife Park was established in 1985 and has a history of 32 years. The ticket is 35 Australian dollars. It is located quite close to Melbourne city. During the visit, I saw many local teachers bring students for an educational field trip. There are large crocodiles, kangaroos, alpacas, koalas, Tasmanian devils, wombats, Dingoes, little penguins and so many other animals.  If you like, you can feed the alpacas and kangaroos or play with them. I enjoyed playing with them. They are all scattered around the big lawn where you can interact with them. You can even take close up pictures of a Koala. The price to take a picture is 18 dollars. When my friend went to take pictures, the staff first gave her eucalyptus leaves so that the koalas would become animated. She was then able to take the pictures she wanted and got some great pictures.  A gift shop is attached to the exit of the zoo. There are various dolls and refrigerator stickers, essential oils, etc. You should visit the shop and pick up a few things.

It was a Valentines trip to Ballarat. We spent our Valentine’s Day in Ballarat, and it was such a delightful escape! Ballarat, with its mix of history, beautiful gardens, and vibrant food scene, proved to be the perfect destination for a romantic getaway 💯 We kicked off the day by heading straight to the Ballarat Botanical Garden 🌺 The moment we stepped into the park, we were greeted by stunning landscapes, serene lakes, and well-maintained gardens. We took a peaceful walk around the historic gardens, hand-in-hand, with the backdrop of towering trees and colorful flowers, such a beautiful way to start the day. The perfect spot for a romantic picnic 🧺 too if you want to spend some quiet moments surrounded by nature 😍 📍Gillies Street North, Ballarat, VIC 3350 We then made our way to Sovereign Hill, one of Ballarat’s most iconic attractions. This open-air museum is like stepping back in time to the 1850s during the gold rush. We dressed up in period costumes (which was such fun!) and explored the recreated streets, trying our hand at gold panning. The charm of the old shops, the horse-drawn wagons, and the gold mine tours added to the nostalgic experience 🙌 📍39 Magpie Street, Ballarat, VIC 3350 We also headed to Lake Wendouree, one of Ballarat’s most popular natural attractions. We spent some time wandering around the lake, enjoying the fresh air and watching the swans gliding on the water 💧 If you’re looking for a truly romantic experience, I would highly recommend hiring a swan 🦢 boat for a leisurely row around the lake. It’s so peaceful, and the views are just breathtaking 😍 📍Wendouree Parade, Ballarat, VIC 3350 As the day was drawing to a close, we made our way to the Ballarat Wildlife Park to catch the sunset 🌇 It was a unique experience as we got to enjoy the serene atmosphere while meeting some native Australian animals up close. From cuddly koalas to curious kangaroos 🦘 the wildlife park offers a laid-back and memorable way to finish the day. #ballarat2024 #Ballaratwildlifepark is a must. An hour and half away from Melbourne. It was worth it. The Roos are friendly and the koalas are too. You’ll be able to get to Ballarat, and this is just one of the most visited places aside from the gallery. If you’re in Melbourne you can easily take the train for 1.5 and you’re there.

Spent a couple of hours at the Ballarat Wildlife Park and the plus point is that there is so much area for the kids to run around freely. The kangaroos are free roaming aplenty and there s so many of them just lazing around and enjoying the sun. the downside is that they are seem to be well fed (prob by all the visitors) and they are not really interested in the feeds. Other animals in the park like koalas penguins and a caged sumatra tiger also made the children very happy.
