Baker Street is a street in the Marylebone district of Westminster, West London, England, named "Baker" in honor of the builder, William Baker. Baker Street is not long, it is a section of the A41 main road, from Regent's Park in the south to Wigmore Street in the north (Wigmore St). Walking along Baker Street, you can find the famous Sherlock Holmes Museum along the way, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and Regent's Park not far away, if you are interested, you can also visit together. The Sherlock Holmes Museum makes Baker Street famous because the residence of Conan Doyle's detective Sherlock Holmes is set at "221B" Baker Street. Although there is no "221B" on Baker Street, and no detective lives here, the Sherlock Holmes "home" museum came into being in 1990 to satisfy the wishes of detective fans. Take the London Underground to Baker Street (Baker Street) station. The entire tile wall of the station is covered with a silhouette of Sherlock Holmes wearing a round hat and smoking a pipe. When you leave the subway station, there is a statue of Sherlock Holmes. Madame Tussauds In addition, Madame Tussauds was built on Baker Street in 1835 and has now moved to nearby Marylebone Road. The British Special Operations Committee (SpecialOperationsExecutive, SOE) established during the second station was headquartered at 64 Baker Street.
