[2025 Pingwu Attraction] Travel Guide for Baima Wanglang National Natural Scenic Area (Updated Apr)

Following in the footsteps of Li Ziqi, I came to this mysterious, niche wonderland - the filming location of Li Ziqi's video - Baima Wanglang Nature Reserve. Western Sichuan is often crowded and congested 😣, until I came to Baima Wanglang - the scenery that came into view hit my heart. There is no congestion in Western Sichuan, but the scenery is not inferior to Western Sichuan, and it is so beautiful that people can't take their eyes off it 🥰. Here, you can take a leisurely hike, with a primeval forest covered with moss 🌲 under your feet, step by step, as if you are traveling through a tunnel of time, and the feeling is wonderful 😎. Then, after passing through a cedar forest 😍, a magnificent snow-capped mountain suddenly appears in front of you 🏔️, and the scene really hits your heart. The photos can't fully show the shocking visual enjoyment of seeing it with your own eyes 🤩. 🚉Transportation Guide: 🚗Transportation: Public transportation is not very convenient here, so it is recommended to drive 🚙, and you can easily find it by navigating to "Baima Wanglang" 🧭. 📝Tips: It is a nature reserve, not a regular scenic spot, and the supporting facilities are not very complete 😅, so it is best to prepare supplies in advance, such as water and food 🥪🥤. 🎈How to play: In the reserve, you can take a sightseeing bus to visit Gan Haizi and Baisha Valley, and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way 🚌. However, if you want to have a better experience, it is highly recommended to take a car to Gan Haizi and then start hiking 🚶‍♂️, because you will be shuttling through the tall and mysterious primeval forest all the way, and the hiking experience is really great. It is as if you are one with nature 🌳, and you can feel the charm of nature with every step.

Wanglang is a Baima Tibetan village located in Pingwu, Mianyang, Sichuan. Before the construction of Jiumian Expressway, it took more than 6 hours to get to Mianyang, and accommodation and food were not very convenient. This time, I came to Wanglang again when it had just reopened after being closed for three years and it was autumn when the colorful leaves were floating. Wanglang is just over 100 kilometers away from Jiuzhaigou and is an important part of the Giant Panda Park, with an altitude of about 3,100 meters. When you reach the bottom of Wanglang Valley, the reflection of the snow-capped mountains is set off by the lake, making it look graceful. The current ticket price is 108 yuan (including sightseeing bus). It should be particularly beautiful in spring when the alpine rhododendrons bloom. Pingwu is a small county town, and the bacon is particularly delicious. It is also a good idea to visit Baoen Temple.

📍Wanglang is located in Baima Tibetan Township, Pingwu County, Mianyang City, about 60 km from Jiuzhaigou County. It is a national nature reserve and home to wild giant pandas. Many species of birds and carnivores (wolves 🐺 and snow leopards) have been found here. The reserve has been closed for more than three years and is now open again. The scenery in late October is very beautiful, with snow-capped mountains and red forests, crystal-clear rivers, and freely growing trees. Seeing pandas and other animals is a matter of luck. If you do see them, don't shout, or you'll scare them away. 🚗84 km from Pingwu County, 2-hour drive 🎫Ticket: CNY 108/person, including sightseeing bus ⚠️TIPS: 1⃣️Road conditions🛣 Wanglang is located in Baima Tibetan Township, Baima Town, Pingwu County. The road conditions are good. The road is narrow after entering Baima Tibetan Township. There is a section of road under construction, which is a dirt road and a bit bumpy, but the rest is fine. 2⃣️Ticket purchase🎫 Tickets can be purchased online or on-site. If you buy tickets on-site, go early. If you go late during the National Day holiday, you may not be able to buy tickets. 3⃣️Sightseeing bus🚌 It takes a long time to get from the entrance to the core area by sightseeing bus! It takes about 40 minutes. The road is full of big bends, so be careful to prevent motion sickness. 4⃣️Dress code👚 The highest point of the scenic area is more than 3,000 meters above sea level, and it is really cold inside. If you go at this time of year, you must wear a down jacket and dress warmly. 5⃣️Travel guide🏃‍♀️ There are three main attractions in Wanglang: Gan Haizi, Baisha Valley, and Zhugencha Valley. Gan Haizi is the most beautiful attraction. Gan Haizi is at the drop-off point of the sightseeing bus, in the middle of the scenic area, not at the highest point, so don't get it wrong. Baisha Valley and Zhugencha Valley are at the highest point. Baisha Valley is the site of the 1976 earthquake landslide. I didn't go to Zhugencha Valley because of time constraints. The distance from Gan Haizi to Baisha Valley is about 3 km, along a forest path in the primeval forest, which requires hiking. You can take a sightseeing bus on the way back. 6⃣️Accommodation🏠 Wanglang is not far from Pingwu, so you can make a round trip in one day if you leave early in the morning. It is recommended to stay in Pingwu County, where the conditions are better. 7⃣️Food😋 The commercial facilities in the scenic area are not mature. There are no restaurants, only small shops selling instant noodles, drinks, and snacks. So it is necessary to bring some food with you. 8⃣️Tianmu Lake and Baxijia Ancient Village are on the way to Wanglang, so you can visit them on the way.

||A two-day tour in Pingwu.🌈☀️On the first day, depart from Mianyang at 10 am, drive to Baxijia, you can see snow-capped mountains on the way, then stop to take photos📸. Arrive at the homestay and check in when the sun is about to set.💐 ☀️On the second day, drive to the Baima Wanglang Nature Reserve in the morning, take a sightseeing bus to the scenic area, which you can tour for about two hours, and take lots of photos. Then around 1 pm, take the sightseeing bus back to the entrance of the scenic area, and then drive non-stop to Baoyuan Temple in Pingwu County✨. Arriving at Baoyuan Temple around 4 pm, the light is softer and beautiful, making it easy to take good photos.🌸

The altitude of the scenic spot is 3000 meters, it is recommended to wear a hat for sun protection, the ultraviolet rays are a bit strong when the sun is out. 1.🚗Transportation: Self-driving from Mianyang city to the entrance of the scenic area, you need to pay a parking fee of 10 yuan at the entrance before the bar is lifted. 2.In-scenic area transportation: You can only take the scenic area sightseeing bus to enter, it feels like a long time on the bus (about 40min) to reach the Ganhaizi scenic spot, then you can continue to take the bus to the foot of the snow mountain (not informed on the bus), causing us to wait for a long time when we were ready to go down the mountain. 3.🍜Dining: There is a cafe next to Ganhaizi, but only free boiled water is provided, it is best to bring your own food, instant noodles are 10 yuan a bucket. 4.📌Network: Only Mobile has a signal in the mountains. 5.💰Cost: Tickets: The original price is 180 yuan, now the off-season ticket price is 108 yuan/person, the round-trip sightseeing bus is 70 yuan/person, the child ticket price is not specified.
