I was sitting on a tree stump near the peak when a school of butterflies fluttered in 8 formation for nearly 20 minutes all around us. There is a stream that runs from the peak and also a glass bridge tube slide down to the bottom, if you feel adventurous. Baihualing Scenic Area is located in Qiongzhong City, Hainan Province. We drove there from Ding'an, and it took less than 2 hours, which is very convenient. The ticket for the scenic area plus the sightseeing car package is 98 RMB per person, but you can also just buy the entrance ticket for 88 RMB per person. However, considering the full journey is 8 kilometers, it's not very cost-effective, so I suggest buying the package ticket. The sightseeing car is divided into an uphill circuit and a mountaintop circuit. As shown in picture 1, my route was to take the car from the entrance of the scenic area to Baipu Pavilion, then hike up the mountain. Along the way, you can enjoy the landscape, waterfalls, strange rocks, and distant views from the observation decks. After reaching the top, there is a Guanyin statue for blessing children, where you can pray, and then go to the Guanyin station to take the mountaintop circuit. There are supposed to be 4 stops in total, but since we went during the off-season and the glass walkway was under maintenance, we only stopped at the Wannian Divine Tree station, which basically meant the car took us around the top of the mountain, haha.
