Historic buildings
Baekdam Temple is located at the foot of Nei Seorak Mountain, about 8 kilometers southeast of Jiaping outside Longyao-ri. The temple was originally built in Hanxili near the General's Terrace, and it was called Hanxi Temple. As a representative temple in Naeseorak, the temple was relocated several times due to fires during the period of King Shinmoon in 690. There is a state-designated cultural relic in Baitan Temple - a wooden seated statue of Amitabha Buddha. This Buddha statue was built in 1748 in the era of Emperor Yeongjo and was a well-known Buddha statue in the first half of the 18th century. In addition to the Hall of Bliss in the center, the existing buildings also include Shanling Pavilion, Huayan Room, and Fahua Room. There is a three-story stone pagoda in the courtyard, but the ancient cultural relics no longer exist. The existing nunneries include Fengding Nunnery, Wusui Nunnery, Yuanming Nunnery, etc.
