I had the most wonderful time. Definitely the highlight of my Tokyo trip! I almost didn’t want to leave the place! There are so much to see. I was worried that the experience would be a little overwhelming for me but No! I was on cloud nine throughout the experience. Navigating the rooms weren’t too tough cause my husband has really good sense of space. So glad that I made the decision to come here! I was there at 6:30 and the crowd situation were actually so much better that what I imagined! All good all good! Love the mall it’s located in too!

Azabudai Hills, Tokyo, December 2024 - After an evening out @teamlab’s immersive digital art experience, @teamLab_borderless, I discovered an equally spectacular %Arabica coffee shop in @azabudaihillsofficial. Having visited their locations outside Japan, I was familiar with their minimalist design and exceptional brews. However, this particular branch surpassed expectations with its pristine, space-age aesthetic and mirrored ceiling, exuding a futuristic elegance that sets it apart from their typical coffee shops. Although it was late and I was seeking a hot chocolate (which sadly they don’t serve) I couldn’t resist photographing this remarkable space. The store offers a good selection of their % signature beans and features an on-site roaster, and all within the most immaculate setting. Even sans caffeine the visual experience alone makes @arabica.kyoto in Azabudai Hills a destination well worth the visit.

Various city street scenes, historical buildings, and even moments of daily life are meticulously restored, making people feel like a giant overlooking a lifelike microcosmic society. I carefully admired the train running on the railway model and could even see the daily movements of the miniature people. Every detail was full of ingenuity. In the afternoon, we went to DiverCity Tokyo Plaza in Odaiba. The focus here was undoubtedly the life-size Gundam statue. When the mechanical giant slowly deformed and emitted light, the audience on the scene was amazed. The wide variety of shops and delicious food in the shopping mall will make you linger. Day 2: A Stroll Through Art and Culture When you come to Tokyo, contemporary art is something you cannot miss. In the morning, I walked into teamLab Planets. In this immersive digital art museum, I stepped barefoot into the world of light and shadow reflected on the water, felt the flowers blooming with my steps, and my body and art became one. In the afternoon, head to Yanaka Ginza Shopping Street, which retains the nostalgic atmosphere of the Showa era. There are many artisan handmade shops and authentic snacks in the alleys. I ate the popular fried meat cake while walking, feeling the slow pace of Tokyo away from the hustle and bustle, which added a touch of warm humanity to this journey.

It's hard for me to capture the beautiful scenery I see with just my phone. When I first entered the exhibition, I saw the sea of flowers projected on the walls and floor, and the fragrance of flowers in the air, and didn't think there was anything special about this exhibition. But the various small rooms are the real highlights. Rooms where countless strings of LED lights hang from the ceiling, forming scenes like rain, starry rivers, and space travel as the lights change rhythmically. Rooms with orange-yellow bulbs hanging at different heights, creating a sense of depth. A room of flower seas that you reach after passing through darkness. The projections in the corridors also change slowly over time, so you might see different scenes when you return to the same spot after a while. It's a great place for taking photos, but also a place that tests your photography skills. My friend and I spent about an hour here, and it felt like spending another hour wouldn't be a problem. We decided to go on a whim that day and were lucky to get tickets for around 4 PM in the afternoon. During peak tourist seasons, you might need to buy tickets even earlier.

Come here to visit 2 times. This time we booked teamlab at 19.30, so we had time to visit Tokyo Tower first. Personally, we arrived at 16.30. The evening light was very beautiful. But since Japan gets dark very early, anyone who takes pictures should come before the time. When it was our turn, we went straight to teamlab. The interior was very beautiful. It was quite dark. For us unfortunately, the light sculpture was under maintenance and we couldn’t see it. But the different rooms with different smells were pretty dope. Time flies by exploring the illuminated world.
