I traveled alone to Malta in February during the off-season🇲🇹
I chose AX The Palace because I wanted a balcony and the location and price were well balanced in the Sliema area, which is convenient for sightseeing.
From the large balcony, you can see the church right in front of you and enjoy the extraordinary feeling.
The weather was not good and it was cold, so we rarely spent time on the balcony in the end, but in spring and fall, it looks like a good place to have dinner and tea.
I was quite satisfied with the spacious room for the price!

How to choose a hotel in Malta in winter? The price is too fragrant

If you don't want to bother, you can stay in Sliema all the way, which is cheaper than the boutique hotels in Valletta and the big brand hotels in Saint Julian.

This five-star hotel is the newest one built in Saint Julian, with all new facilities, and it is only 5 minutes walk to the sea. This hotel is a perfect combination of old and new. The modern main building is opposite the renovated Santa Rita Chapel. The balcony faces this retro chapel.
3️⃣Palais le Brun (Valletta)
This boutique hotel near the sea in Valletta has not many rooms, a bit like a homestay.
The European old money style decoration does not appear old, it is well maintained, and there is an elevator. This room also includes breakfast, and the choice of varieties is very rich.
Every day, it is very convenient to walk around Valletta and the three sister cities opposite the hotel.
4️⃣Palazzo Bifora (Mdina Old City)
When you come to the filming location of King's Landing in "Game of Thrones", you naturally have to feel it. This only five-star boutique hotel in the old city of Mdina has been open for only one year, and the room layout is also in line with the characteristics of the Middle Ages.
