It is a Tibetan Buddhist temple with a long history. The temple was built in 1834 and belongs to the Nyingma sect (Red Sect) of Tibetan Buddhism, although some say it belongs to the Gelug sect. The prayer wheel of Niangma Temple is a landmark building, visible from afar. It is 35.8 meters high, with a lower diameter of 12.43 meters and an upper diameter of 17.6 meters. Inside, it houses about 110,000 scriptures, with a total weight of 400 tons, making it the largest prayer wheel in the world.
