Many people miss out the awaji island when travel to Kobe. And most of the tourists station at Osaka and take train to Kobe for a day trip without realise there is a beautiful island near Kobe that worth to spend a day or two. Honestly i strongly recommend to rent a car to drive here. And if possible stay a night to fully enjoy the island. I drove to awaji island around 9am+ from Kobe city. Half a day gone and i am still at the awaji park because it is very big. If you travel with children, can first go to Akashi Kaikyo National Government Park with children playground. Then move to Hyogo Prefecture Awaji Hanasajiki to see beautiful flowers and views. Then head to Higashiuraguchi to enjoy the rest of the park with children playground and park. By the time you finish, probably already very late and sunset. I skipped the Higashiuraguchi park and traveled 54km to end of awaji island to see the onion hill. It is beautiful place with many local people over the weekend. But if you have limited time, i strongly recommend you to skip and go to other part of awaji island with beautiful see views and food. And finally end your day at naruto park. To truly experience Awaji Island, you may consider stay a night here. I will be back in the future.

This is a park on Awaji Island where you can enjoy a carpet of flowers that changes depending on the season you visit 💐 When I visited in June, I was able to see not only fresh greenery, but also three-foot verbena in the flower fields, colorful flowers such as ageratum, celosia, angelonia, salvia, and hydrangeas in the flower beds. This is a very popular facility on Awaji Island, located about a 12-minute drive from Awaji Interchange, which is close to the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. Seasonal flowers bloom here, and now is the best time to visit as spring arrives! Right now, you can enjoy fields of rapeseed flowers that spread all over the place. \\Tourist Spots// Awaji Hanasajiki, a popular tourist spot on Awaji Island, is a facility where you can enjoy the seasonal flower fields in an area about the size of three Tokyo Domes for just the parking fee. I visited the facility for the first time in several years and found that the Hanasajiki Terrace Hall had been newly built and the park had been renovated. An aerial walkway connects the existing observation deck with the new observation deck so that wheelchairs and strollers can easily use it. There is an elevator on the Hanasajiki Terrace Hall side, so please use that. The second floor is a restaurant, and the first floor is a product hall with Awaji Island souvenirs. Pets are allowed on the flower field side, but not at the Hanasajiki Terrace Hall, so please be careful if you are traveling with pets.
